With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.
I'm calming down a little bit. I hope I'm just overreacting hehe and that everything will be fine. I was #53 and i submitted it around 11.
Slrberry, you have to go on "messages" on the financial aid system, not "awards" (my mistake). On mine, there's a note on the bottom that says I am eligible for the BOGG fee waiver.
ck, are you a current Delta student? If you don't mind me asking, what is your total points?
Welcome, CK and Kristi!
I dont know anyone who got in in the fall, but I know a few people who got in the semester before that. When I spoke to the counselor about a week ago she said that they went through over 30 students from the wait list because of incomplete and missing information from students that were chosen to submit info. That is one of the reasons why I am waiting to submit my application. I want to look it over again and make sure everthing is in order.
CK and Kristi, what were your points and TEAS results?
Thanks, Roxy. I looked under messages and it said that I dont qualify for financial aid, but I "may qualify for a BOG fee waiver." Also when I dropped a class and went to request a refund, my refund was WAY more than I expected, and the receptionist said that it was because my fee waiver went through. I'm usuming that I would be okay to check the box saying that I got a fee waiver, but I want to see the printout or something definate, because I'd hate to be disqualified because I can't get a copy.
I got a 79.4 on my TEAS but I didn't study because I only had 3 days notice. I wasn't expecting to apply because of the new math prerequisite. I am taking intermediate algebra now. I logged on last week and noticed they had added the note about waiving algebra for spring 2011. I have added my points and I have 61.5. I have been a medical assistant for 10 years but I guess I only get 2 points for that since I don't have a licence. I have a good GPA so total I got 44 points for grades.
AWESOME points!
I re-read the other Delta thread and it only took 6 days, after the application closing date, for them to get their letter to submit documents, then another 2 weeks after that to find out if they were in.
I'm sure that time is going to go by slowly though, but i'm glad the the application period is only a week and a half.
CK and Kristi, where are you guys from?
Hi all!
I also have applied to Delta for the spring. I applied last semester, and was accepted, but because of personal reasons, I had to decline my spot. I'm hoping I will get in again for the spring.
Regarding the timing, for the fall semester, 2 weeks after I applied I was asked to submit the supporting documentation. It was then almost a 2 month wait before I found out that I was accepted into the program.
Good luck everyone!

Roxy, I think you'll be fine. They'll know Bio and Biol are the same. I was worried just submitting my application, in case I forgot something!
Slrberry, I didn't get a number? I just submitted my application and got a generic thank you for applying message.
