With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.
SBNRN2B - Like you, some of my classes were taken over 20 years ago. The catalogs for the courses are so old that they don't have them online - they are on microfiche at the school. The school made copies of the course descriptions and the cover of the catalog to show the year that I took the courses. I had to physically go pick these up from the school. Fortunately, I still live nearby, so it wasn't a big deal. I made lots of copies so that I don't have to do that again!
When you say class descriptions do you mean the whole explanation of the class, not just college composition or human anatomy? We can just print it off the college website and that is sufficient? Thanks
When they ask you to submit supporting documentation, they will send you a checklist of what they want. They want the course description from the catalog of the year that you took the class. Here is part of the request they made of me last semester:
"I have attached
OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS and COURSE DESCRIPTIONS for the purpose of determining course equivalency
for all prerequisites I DID NOT take at San Joaquin Delta College. The course descriptions must come
from the specific catalog year in which the course was taken.
NOTE: You must submit official transcripts AND course descriptions EVEN IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY
SUBMITTED THIS INFORMATION TO OUR COLLEGE."
Hope this helps.
Runningrn2b-When you were not able to accept your spot in the RN program last semester, did you attempt to postpone(sorry sp) your acceptance to the following semester. I know it's probably a long shot and they would just advise you to re-apply but if I'm accepted for fall, this is something that I am considering.

SBNRN2B - you can also go to collegesource.org they have a collection of catalogs from a bunch of schools. On the score sheet it says that you can either obtain copies of course descriptions from your school or collegesource.com. Hope that helps!
