Comments are for those big-ticket items you longingly admire in the catalogs for your office.
After reading this thread, I feel like I shouldn't ask for anything. I've got a really nice sized clinic, complete with a counter height science table that serves as an island to me ridiculous amount of cabinets (serious, I can't even fill them all). I really lucked out with this new for me school.
But if someone is handing out mini bars....
Really I just want underwear. Not for me. These kids....prek through second??? I bought a limited run of stuff and it's gone. I've told all the teachers to ask all parents to send a change of clothing "just in case."
When making out next year's budget, maybe you could add (sneak )in a case of the mesh "undies" like they have in l&d.... they start really tiny and then strangely stretch to fit "chubby mummies" (my own term, totally not intended to offend or insult... I just thought it was a cute bit of rhyme.
) Seriously, once you've seen how much they stretch, you realize they start out just impossibly small. So I would think they'd be an option. Idk how much they cost, but in a hospital where the nurses were rationing out the cold peri-pads like they were filled with gold, they literally gave me handfuls of them anytime I asked for a new pair. I think they thought of them like the little footie nylons they have at the shoe store.
Anyway, maybe something like that would be cheap enough to justify getting a generous supply?

You rock!
I didn't even think to look on Amazon... and dh worked there, once upon a time.
Those are actually fancier than the ones I was thinking of. (Realizing that "fancy mesh panties" is one of the silliest oxymorons I think I've ever contemplated. )
Searching using the term "mesh underwear" was an education in itself.... not a screen you'd want open at work....
So, the kind I'm familiar with are made out of the mesh like is used for tubular dressing retention net.
Maybe they don't make that kind anymore.... or maybe they really are designed for bandage retention, and the hospital where I had my babies used them for postpartum.
These look promising also:
Disposable panties. 30 pcs.= $14
Multiple reviews state they run quite a bit smaller than expected, so they might work... if not, that's what returns are for. (For reason "not as described" ... because currently Amazon's description says they run small, based on customer experience)

And now back to my own holiday shopping. If I don't spend dh's money... he'll have to do it himself.

If you do go the way of regular undies- I get mine at goodwill when I can. They get damaged/opened packages from target and sell them for 50 cents a pair. They are obviously unworn with that starchy feel and often still rolled up with tape. If I can use petty cash, I do. If not I just pay. One time, I waited in line behind a teacher buying crayons and we bonded over the pathetic school budgets.

I purchased something similar which was about .75 per pair. They're just all gone! And I'm struggling because in PreK and K even...but when your first grader is starting to have accidents once a week (and I've suggested you get to the doc to find out why)....I think that parent can and should provide.

My building was build in like 1850, there is a sign on the wall that says it, and while it has few updates, there is no elevator, and there are 4 stories and endless amounts of stairs. We do not have a cafeteria or a gym, and all the bathrooms are in the basement. We have old radiators for heat, which barely work. I would love a new building!
