Money to go back to school and do LVN.

Not that you asked, but I'm going to give you my opinion anyway. Skip the LVN and go for RN - either ADN or BSN. When I was getting ready to apply to nursing school, I was thinking of getting my LVN because it was a year long program and I could start working and then go back and do a bridge program. At the time, I had a friend that was unit clerking in an ER and she told me to spend the extra year and get the ADN - so many nurse's she worked with did the LVN track with the idea of doing a bridge and got stuck. I took her advice, and it is honestly one of the best things I've done. I graduated with my ADN in 2005, worked a couple of years, and then did my BSN online, graduating in 2011.

Here's a thought: add to that long list of school supplies that parents are supposed to send at the beginning of the year (Kleenex, paper towels)

a package of your child's size underwear.

Specializes in Cardiology, School Nursing, General.

I'll be honest. I can't. And it's not negative thinking. I have Dyscalculia and it makes it very difficult for me to finish my last 3 classes, which would be College Algebra and Chemistry. So because of this, I can't finish my Associates of Science which I need to go into ADN and RN, because either way I need to get to statistics and Chemistry to get into it.

The only one option I have that I can do right now is LVN, because I have all the requirements done.

It's not laziness either. I literally spent $20,000 on school for the past 8 years to get my associates. I did these classes more than 5 times. I'm done and tired and I'm out of money. I rather just get my last class, which is an exercise class and get my associates of arts so I can do the LVN.

If there was a way I can get my associates for just that, I would, but sadly I can't.
