from what i have seen, a lot of us here are parents or in their 30s. so i was quite curious.
for me, i'm 17 gong 18. i'm only 9 months into my nursing course. in singapore, almost majority of the nurses start studying at 17 or 18 years old.
I began my pre-req's at 19. It took me 3 yrs of fulltime study to finish all pre-req's.
I started nursing school at 22 yrs and will graduate this May 06 with my BSN at the age of 24. :balloons:
It feels like i've been in school forever ! I can't wait to get out and work!!
soon to be :nurse:My dream is becoming reality...I'm kind of nervous. and excited at the same time.
I notice that people studying nursing come from all different ages and backgrounds, which I think is beautiful. For those of you that are entering young, good job for starting early, and for those of you entering at later ages, great job for continuing on with your goals. I started nursing and stopped because I didn't feel I was smart enough. Now, I am 30 and enjoying being a nursing student. I live nursing! It is so cool and rewarding. I admire all of you for entering into the profession of nursing because it is tough, but we will all succeed with great accomplishment!!!!
