at what age did you start studying nursing?

from what i have seen, a lot of us here are parents or in their 30s. so i was quite curious.

for me, i'm 17 gong 18. i'm only 9 months into my nursing course. in singapore, almost majority of the nurses start studying at 17 or 18 years old.

started at 32yrs old & will graduate at 34yrs old!!:balloons:

45 after retiring from the Navy. ADN by 47 (hopefully). At this rate BSN by 90.

I started my pre reqs at 35 and will be graduating at age 38. I sometimes think I am too old to be starting a second career but when I read about nurses who began their careers in their 50's it gives me hope that you are never too old to start anew. Thank you!

I started at age 26 and took my prereq's part-time...I graduate May 2008 at the age of 31...Wooohoooo!!!!!

I was 21 but I started just a few days before my 22nd birthday.

I just completed my first semester of my BSN (age 18) and I am so excited about getting my degree. Hopefully I will graduate by the age of 22 or 23.

if you count cna as studying for nursing, then i started when i was 17. i started my prereqs for my bsn when i was 18. i am in my junior year of nursing school right now (that makes me almost 21 if anyone really cares. lol).

I started my pre-reqs at age 21, when I graduated in May 2009 I will be almost 25.

started pre-reqs last summer at age 27, set to start clinicals this sept at age 28, and will graduate when I am 30

I started my pre-req's at 44, I will graduate when I'm 51. Full time work plus full time mom, but I'm excited that I'm on my way! :monkeydance:
