So I have a friend who I have known for a fact didn't go to nursing school in the Philippines because she was here in the United States working as a caregiver and mind you it takes 4 years to finish a bachelor's degree. She was taking this shady online classes and telling people that she's in nursing school. Now she miraculously applied for Florida license. Hence, she lives in Michigan and was approved to take the NCLEX. Of all the years I've known her, I have never seen her study or actually be enrolled in school. I am so upset as I worked so hard for my degree. I became an ADN first then went on to pursue my bachelor's degree. Now, she even have a private staffing agency that she poses as a graduate nurse. It baffles me to no end that a person could do all of these things and not bat an eyelash. I need an advice on what to do or should I just cut off all ties with her and let karma do their work. I never wished for anybody to fail NCLEX but in her case I hope she does. It's not safe, fair and for me, it undermines all the hard work nursing student does.

I think something like this happened in California a few years ago and severe consequences for those caught

I have posted in the past about the employment department representative who spoke to me about the well-known reputation for certain import nurses to use "ringers" to take their US nursing board exams for them. He said it was common knowledge. However, this was back in the age before all of the testing went computer-based with the latest procedures surrounding testing. I highly doubt that very many, if any, ringers could be in operation now. Even when I took the test, one had to produce at least one fingerprint to gain entry at the test site.
Maybe she did do her classes online, which I doubt, but I’m sure the school will say she did all her hours if she paid for them. Many “nurses/medical assistants” in foreign countries pay for their clinical hours without ever stepping into a clinical setting. Don’t even get me started. I know enough that I don’t leave my Loved ones unsupervised when using healthcare abroad, except in a few select countries and in VERY specific hospitals. No thank you.
I hardly post anything about my education activity on social media. Some friends, who are my colleagues, know that I'm generally academically preoccupied. People I live with have no idea what I'm up to. They always see me on the computer taking courses. They never asked me where I've been when I'm not camping in front of my desktop. They'd tell people that I'm doing my nursing school on online. I just laugh. They're still clueless why I have a uniform on and leave early.
As a foreign-born graduate, I can assure you that the hoops one must jump through to be eligible for a US nursing license are considerable, and far stricter than for US born nurses. I can't imagine how anyone could cheat the system, having been through it myself. You can ruin someone's life if you're wrong, so I suggest minding your own business and leaving her alone.

I’ve known and has been friends with this person for over 10 years and met her in high school. I am not in any way scrutinizing Philippines education but how was it possible to attend school there without physically being in the Philippines? How would one attend clinicals and be educated with nursing knowledge without actually going to those? I actually know 3-4 friends that had to move back to Philippines to get their bachelor’s degree.
P.S. I’m just going to stay out of it & let karma do it work and thank you for all those that replied.
