Ok, no one has started this yet, so I guess I will. I start A&P I on January 18th, lab and lecture.
Here are a few good websites I have found...some are basic, some may be more indepth than your instructor asks for.....BUT it gives you a little more to look over before class starts next month! :) ....Never forget the website for your actual book too!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU

Thanks, okie2!! I'm hoping my A in Psych, and my A in English will roll right over into my A&P class!![]()
.....Tuesday is coming up quickly......anyone else that starts on the 18th getting nervous? :imbar
YES!!!!!!!!!!!! Nervous and Excited. 4 weeks is a long time between semesters. I am just anxious to see who my A&P professor is. It is listed as Staff so we have no idea who is teaching the course. The only other professor who was teaching at the campus that I wanted to go to, was one that did NOT come highly recommended. So a few of us opted to take our chances with a staffer. I just hope this person is thorough in lecture and precise in lab LOL. I just hate starting new classes. Fun2care, YOUR NOT ALONE!!!!!!!
As for the PDA, my mom always gets us a "big" present each year. I think I may wait and tell here the exact PDA I want for Christmas next year. Of course, then there's the side of me that has to have it "NOW" when it comes to electronics.
Which kind of PDA are you looking at? Like I mentioned, I have the dell pocket pc, and I know it will be useful in taking notes with the fold up keyboard. I'm just trying to get familiar with it now, so when my program starts I know exactly how to use it.
Am I reading you correctly you got a high A in your 5 wk English course?! You rock!
I just found out I got a 91 on my first A&P lesson. So I'm very excited. That first ch in the marieb book isn't so bad. And I already have my terms memorized.
I'm only in A&P and Food/Nutrition right now though. So it's a light load and easier. Next month I start my health care core curriculum (set of classes which last 6w) and it will be a bit heavier cuz I'll be in school for 6 hrs a day. Not looking forward to that!
Okay, I have to catch up on this thread but I'm taking my boys to get their valentines pics done today. so i will catch up later!
Ciao.

PhoenixGirl: I'm not sure which PDA I'll get. All the one's I've looked at are the most expensive.....go figure. lol Maybe by the time I actually get ready to buy one, they'll go on sell! :)
About the English class. First of all, tyvm! :) I made an "A" in the winter term class. It was actually 3 weeks...1 1/2 weeks before C-mas, then 1 1/2 weeks after New Years. It was TOUGH. I stayed up some nights until 3-4 a.m. finishing a paper. Most of the papers we only had 1 - 2 days to do them. I made A+'s on all the papers, except the research/argumentative where I made an A on that paper. (I put 2 different sentences that sounded like they were quotes, but just my common sense. lol.....but knowing I was going to get an A in the class, I wasn't going to hassle from an A to an A+ on the very last paper)
Before that, I took an open enrollment, online Psych class. It started in November, and I finished it in December. I know I made an A in that as well, but the class doesn't officially end until February, so my posted grades do not show it yet.

My husband told me, "I don't know why you are putting yourself through this." ...My response was/is that I want to have a full semester to take A&P 1 without any other classes to cloud my mind.

Congrats on your 91! I hope it continues to be A's!! :) ...and rubs off on us all!!!!!
Hey SLH522,
I am in the KCTCS System. I am at the Lees College Campus of Hazard Community and Technical College of KCTCS. Lees is a nice campus with many interesting people. I just let the dog out and saw the 1 & 1/4 inches of snow we got yesterday. I am thinking snowball fight at the dorm when we go back Tuesday. It's also supposed to snow on Wednesday. YEAH, Winters here. :balloons: :balloons:

Thanks for starting this thread, I was going to do it tonight but ya beat me to it LOL. At least its going now. I have no idea what books I am using, I havent been back to the school since last semester ended. I am planning on going up there Monday though so I will find out then. I am hoping we are using the Mariebs but if not I hope its a good one LOL. I have a few websites to add too, I will add them to this message as I gather them. I am taking A&P1 and Microbiology so it should be fun. I have heard that my micro professor is super good and really easy so keep your fingers crossed for me LOL. I am so excited to start this semester, I love anatomy and just cant wait to dive in. I hope we can help each other out with this thread. I start January 18th.
Well hello classmate nursetobe2007, this is me. We start class tomorrow, kind of nervous and excited about it. I found the club you were telling me had gotten started on here. I am taking A & P I, Microbiology, Psych II Child Development, and Medical Math. I will be a busy person this semester. Taking the NET in February. Lot's of studying to be done. I saw Chad's post and wanted to say hello. My family are in the Pike County, Ky. area, but I am living in Detroit, Mich suburbs. Hope you have much success Chad, my cousin went to Pikeville College and became an R.N., she got a job in Pikeville Hospital before even graduating. Good luck to you.

Hey check ebay! I bought the foldable keyboard that goes with the pocket pc for like $30 less than it is at the dell website. And it is just fine and looks brand new. I'd be able to sell in on there if I ever needed to get rid of it, and make my money back. Whenever I upgrade my pocket pc (which won't be for a long time) i'll be selling it on ebay also to recoupe the costs. It's such a great thing.
