A&P 1 Summer 2012 Check In

Published

I'll be registering for my Summer classes tomorrow. And yes I will be taking A&P 1 and it's lab. I've heard so many horror stories about A&P! But I'm trying to stay positive. I've been a CNA for almost 7 years so maybe I'll be able to apply some of what I've learned to A&P. Anyone else out there A&P 1 or 2 this Summer? Let's get this support group started!

Whoop! Raising my hand...A&P 1 this summer.

Looks like I'll be giving it a try this summer, my A&P1 is 11 weeks, how about yours?

Mine is 8 weeks. Whoa 11 weeks is the longest summer term I've heard of. That's almost as long as the Spring/Fall.

Hey there I too will starting A&P 1 this summer @ broward college in florida, I hear that it is a hand full:scrying:, but I'm up for the challenge and going in with both hands :yelclap: to carry it all the way:) Good Luck to us both. ........... feel free to chat anytime or share some help!:)

I'll be taking A&P I this summer too! My summer classes are only 5 weeks long! 3x a week for 3.5 hrs/day

Specializes in Hospitalist Medicine.

I'm taking Anatomy (including lab) this summer. It's an 8 week session, so it's going to be very fast paced! Our school has Anatomy as a separate class to Physiology (I'll take that next semester in the fall).

My Anatomy class is every day except Fridays, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Can't wait to get started!!!

I'm also taking Phlebotomy, Psychology & Healthy Lifestyles this semester for a total of 12 credit hours  It's gonna be a busy summer!!

I've already purchased my books and our professor put the course syllabus online already, so I've been getting a jump start by studying the first few weeks. It's mostly a review of cell biology & biochemistry before we jump in to the major anatomy.

Let's do this!!!! :D

I'm also taking A&P 1 and Lab this summer. Anatomy is basically a lot of memorization. I've taken it previously for my LPN course. I recommend flash cards. I just ordered the Kaplan ones for $15 on Amazon. They had good ratings and are organized by systems, which is not the case with many other brands for some reason. Glad they are cheap because my books are costing me a humerus and a femur this semester :nurse:

I'm taking mine this fall, but there are lots of good tips here.
