A&P 1 students,,,, How ya doing?

So how are my fellow pre-nursing students doing in A&P 1? We are in week 6 and are finishing up chapter 9 of Saladin's text, and our 2nd exam should be next friday, but we will find out for sure later on this week. So far I am doing good, Got my first test back and I received an A. :) I am a little nervous about the tissues, I HATE histology, a necessary evil I suppose. Our first lab practical is next week and I am extremely nervous about that. Any pointers besides relax?

I went into my final tonight with an A. Only time will tell. The cumulative departmental final is worth 20% of my final grade. I felt good about it, so I'll have to wait and see.

Just received my final grade from my professor! I got an A on the final, and a 96.2% in the class! Now just waiting on Dev Psych and Chem. ahhhh.

I was wondering what kind of chem is in anatomy? A lot of people are saying that they studied chem in the begining. Is it bad to take anatomy before chemistry?

There is a bit of general chemistry that is covered in the very beginning of AP 1...but I took Chem along with AP 1 this last quarter and I did very well in both classes. It's totally do-able and I think you should go for it. It helps to take them concurrently, then not at all, but if you are not able to take both this next quarter, you will be fine without taking Chem before AP. Good luck!

BTW...they just posted official grades online yesterday and I got A's in all three of my classes! :) I took AP 1, Chem 121 and English Comp, along with working 4 days a week. I am so proud to have these grades because I totally worked my butt off! Great job to everyone else who did well (to those who didn't, you still have another shot and I KNOW you can do it! Sometimes the second time around is easier)!! Nursing school here we come!!! :) :nurse: Enjoy your holiday breaks! *wine

I slid out with a B. It was TOUGH! I was hoping for an A but was very happy to get a B, in both lab and lecture. Now I'm complete and ready to apply. Yikes!!!

Just finished up A&P 1 and got an overall grade of 98% A...If you just study and listen really closely to the professor during lectures because sometimes they say information that might not be included in the powerpoints or study guides and write down everything

I dont like instructors who dont like to teach, i mean why become a teacher then?

Does your textbook come with a cd? maybe that will help.

I got a B...and I'm very happy with it.. I have a 3.8 overall, so i'm not sweating it :) Congrats everyone, so glad 1 is done...now let's focus on 2 :/
