I went today and put a down payment on my Spring 2009 semester which has A&P 1 (Chem and Dietary Nutrition too) and it got me thinking. For a while now, I have been saving up websites and links about A&P and I thought I could share what I have. Please feel free to add to the list...

If I stole your link, please forgive me - I just put them in my bookmarks and added them to what I have. I hope someone finds these helpful.
Hi! I just wanted to tell you good luck with whatever class you choose. My class was set up horrible. She gave us notes and a study guide but most of the information weren't on either one of those. The notes she gave were very limited. I would prefer to have more notes, if the additional information is going to be on the test.
I just think that with A&P there is just too much to grasp to take it on-line. There are some people that can do it though. The lab I never had to attend class, she just gave us a guide of what we were supposed to know. There wasn't an option to even take the lab on campus. I think it would have been better to see the components of the lab visually. I think it is easier to read, take the professors notes, and then write index cards too. I have taken several classes on-line but this and Chemistry is the only one I've had trouble with. I've taken several on-line Psychology classes, History, Math, Geology, etc. A&P just has a lot of information. That is just my opinion though. I also have two little kids at home that also make it very difficult :0)
Ah, see I have no children or job so any classes have my full dedication whenever they need it. That's something I never understood, how a science class could be COMPLETELY online, I don't understand how you could possibly learn the information with not even having a lab to attend. I wouldn't do it if that were the case, nope.
I took Bio w/lab last semester all online. I *think* the only difference between online and regular classes is the presentation of the work. We were told what chapters of the book to study for our tests. Each chapter we were given an AYK - assess your knowledge - assignment to write (usually a paragraph or two). I had 11 labs to do (2 of which were extra credit). I had a problem with one of my labs, the equipment wasn't working correctly, and my teacher told me to follow through with my results and discuss in it the lab report. She was available anytime I had a question, however I didn't really 'get it' when she explained something to me. I figured it out on my own later. The most annoying part of the class was that you had to participate in the discussions, usually on a topic she chose relating to our course work. I am excited to be taking the others soon (API and Chem), I will let you know how they go, I got my lab kits and they look fun - got a sheep brain and cow eye to dissect!
I started on Monday (Jan 19th) and have already had my first quiz - 100%, hooray!! I have also done a 600 word 'learning journal' entry and a 250 word assignment, handed in but not marked. It will be like this for all 10 units, not including labs. Gonna be a lot of writing in this class!

DramaQueen, what did you find to be too difficult? And how was the lecture AND lab combined?
I am currently registered for A&P 1 at my school in the PHYSICAL classroom setting, however, I'm considering registering for it online instead (if it's even still possible). I have taken several online classes already and I like them better, much better in fact and I DO well in them. I've received A's & one B+ in all that I have taken with the exception of Accounting (which I received a C) BUT I took Accounting 2 in the classroom and I got a C in there too. (I'm NOT a numbers person) and I got a C in College Algebra (I KNOW that I could have done better though.)
My school offers the class online but you have to come in every Saturday during the semester for a lab which will last 4hrs. How were your tests given? For my College Algebra class and my Accounting class .. we had 4 tests the entire semester, 2 were given online and 2 were given at the school.
