I am a new grad in Texas. I had an interview with Parkland hospital and disclosed on the application that I had a misdemeanor. Long story short, I received deferred adjudication for a Misdemeanor B theft 9 years ago when I was 17. I checked the misdemeanor box on the application, but the application did not have another box to list what the misdemeanor was etc.
The hospital offered me the RN position with a contingent offer that is pending on pre employment screening and background check. Since I disclosed that I have a misdemeanor on my application, what are the chances they take back the offer when the background check comes back?
Has anyone been offered a job where they disclose the criminal background and they get a job offer but only for it to be taken back? Thank you all in advance for your response!
