  1. Yes, I will let you know what I find out. Only asking because the SICU residency does 3-6 months on day, then 3-6 months night for the two year period up to 15 months maximum until you get the shift you want. That is nice.
  2. I have a question that maybe y'all will know the answer to. When I interviewed, i received a sheet in a purple packet called "Quick Facts". On bottom right hand corner, it talks about how we are scheduled. We are given a two week schedule based on the highest demand shift (night shift almost 100%) and then when the two weeks is over, we repeat that schedule for the entire 2 year contract. That means our schedule will not change for the whole two years. Am I reading that correctly or did y'all remember anything else from interview that was said otherwise?
  3. I was pleased to receive an offer this morning! I interviewed early November. Longest two weeks of my life. So there is hope for you prettyladie! Good luck to you all.
  4. Perhaps, they are doing it by school affiliation? X number from here and X number from there? Who knows. Congrats to all who have received confirmation and good luck to those who have not.
  5. I ended up doing the regular program, but I have heard through various people and professors that a lot of the students were failing foundations for nursing and that they were not quite sure how they were going to help those students. They were not failing because the course was bad, but rather because they were working full time and thinking they could get away with doing the work half way and studing half way. What you put into the program is what you get back from it.
  6. scifihippie, do you have any advice on the foundations hesi? I am taking that soon, and have been answering all the questions I can find online and in the back of my foundations book. Do you feel like you were well prepared or do you think there was something else you could have done to prepare yourself? Any advice at all helps. thanks.

you have to take that class at UTA as well as pharm and patho, unless you have pre-approval from an advisor to take it elsewhere.

dang. that's a lot (94 questions)! We only had 19 questions from new content. btw, I had a chance to see the lightweight littman, and the end of it is not plastic; it's just made out of a light metal. So I will most likely be getting that one (95% sure). My mom has two friends who have been in nursing for over 20 years, and they both recommended that one. Also, they said that people steal them all the time, so they advised to not spend a lot of $$.

hey, I took pharm online, and yes it was reallllllly hard since the final was cumulative. Is yours cumulative as well? I was lucky that my other grades were way higher than what I made on the final. But in all honesty, I didn't spend much time reviewing what I had learned all semester; I spent most of my time learning the new material that was going to be on the final. I should have spent more time reviewing the old stuff. My final was 75 questions, and we had 1.5 mins to answer each question (since it was online). Good luck you guys! If you have any more questions, let me know!
