I went today and put a down payment on my Spring 2009 semester which has A&P 1 (Chem and Dietary Nutrition too) and it got me thinking. For a while now, I have been saving up websites and links about A&P and I thought I could share what I have. Please feel free to add to the list...

If I stole your link, please forgive me - I just put them in my bookmarks and added them to what I have. I hope someone finds these helpful.

I will be taking A&P I this spring, thanks so much! I'm sure those links will be really helpful!

I'm also taking A & P I this spring, thanks so much and good luck with your classes.

Hey thanks, I am taking A &P 1 this spring too...I started the class in fall 2006 and ended up dropping it b/c I wasn't prepared or focused enough and didn't want to hurt my GPA or my chances of getting into nursing school, so maybe I can do it right this time!!!

BusyMomof5 -

I picked up my textbook and I'm already taking my notes (my class is all online). I expect to have a lot done by the time classes start on Jan 19th. I will review them repeatedly till then. I have also started making flashcards, both physical and online (quizlet) and will be reviewing those often. I have been playing a lot of the AP games to learn the bones and such when I don't feel like 'serious' studying. I have also bought 'Effective Study Skills' by Semones and learning that system as I go along, great textbook skills section. My biggest worry is the memorization, even though everything is online (including tests) I want to KNOW this stuff.

I'm going to be doing the same for Chemistry when I get my book (its on its way).

Thank you very much!

Thank you so much for this. I am not taking it this coming semester but the one after that so I will much appreciate this then. :yeah:

Sand Dollar,

Thank you for your insight. Like you, I really want to know this stuff! I have my book so I'll start there..thank you for posting the links above. I had some of them bookmarked, but not all. You are very organized, you will do great! BTW: I just finished Chemistry &121 and got an A! If you have any questions, I will do my best to help you.

good luck!

Thanks BusyMomof5,

Good for you on your A! I have Intro to Chem for Bio Students, I've ordered Chemistry for Dummies and have my chem textbook on the way. The last time I took it was 20+ yrs ago in high school but I am *kinda* looking forward to it. I can't even remember it I liked chemistry or not. lol In your chem class, what exactly did you *do*? Was it learning how to balance equations or calculate stuff or learn that this reacts with that? I have no idea what to expect, the online course outline tells me nothing. :/

I am really looking forward to A&P, I love the science of it all. I would read my daughters HS science text books for fun, just because the knowledge is so COOL. I just have a hard time memorizing... that's why I am starting early, ugh. I have put a link to our textbook site which you can sign up for free and it has a free registration code, so one more resource to use.

]Sand Dollar,

Wow, you're really on the ball, my class doesn't start until Jan 21st but the books aren't on sale for spring semester yet. Where are you finding these games to play? And I just looked at quizlet, I guess I will have to spend some time on it because I'm confused! lol.

Just read your most recent post & thanks for posting that link. I'm sure you're going to do great in both of your classes. I don't like Chemistry at all, but I am looking forward to Anatomy & Physio :]
