Hey everybody! I have not been on in a while so busy with school and sad to say Anatomy is my worst subject I am doing horrible and had failed the last two exams which brings me to an F for my midterm grade...4 exams and 1 final left two of the exams are this week Lecture exam tomorrow and practical lab exam on friday. My optimism is shot and I am so sick of talking to my professor lol he is so nice and wants everyone to do well and the class as a whole is doing pretty good only me and 5 or 6 others are failing so I am feeling like a failure right now and if I don't pass this class it will disrupt my whole plan for school because to apply to nursing all prereqs must have a C or above. I just have the hardest time retaining information remembering 30 things out of 75 is not good enough:o I keep praying I will do better.

First of all, I am sending a hug!!! The only thing I can say is keep on doing the best you can and remember that sometimes even good plans can become better when they are thrown off. When is your deadline for course withdrawal? I am so sorry things aren't working out and that you are feeling sad :uhoh21: .. let me know how I can help. Are you getting tutoring help? This course is SO demanding, especially if you have a lot of other courses. Maybe things will start to click and you will pull off a C if you stick with it. I'm sorry I don't have any magic in my pocket for ya but I'm sending best wishes.

Sorry but the cigarette has to go, no smoking aloud in my house:rotfl: or I will relapse. I have smoked for many years but quit 8 years ago for good. ( Me at Smoker's Annonymous "Hi my name is Kirsten and I am a smoker......)

Isn't your daughter's name Kirsten also?

I went to a program through the military hospital. We had weekly meetings and they put me on the patch and also the yucky gum.

What kept me determined to quit was that I wanted to get pregnant (I was 37 when I became pregnant with my youngest) and I did 6 months after I quit. It was very hard not to smoke....I had severe morning sickness for 11 weeks :uhoh3: that helped alot!!!!!! :)

After my son was born I breastfed him, another reason to stay away from the cigs. A funny thing.....after I delivered my son the Community Health Nurse who ran the program showed up in my room, I guess he also worked mataernity and I was able to share my joyess experience with him. It was all worth it because I had a healthy 8pd 15oz cutie. I have to admit I tried it a couple of times later, but it made me sick and I am completely over the cravings.

I'm sorry that A&P is so hard for you. I have a hard time remembering things also. One thing that helps me is to study a little bit everyday. I cannot cram for these tests. The first one I did cram and I only got a 78. The rest of them I studied for a week or two for and I got As. I also write and rewrite the information. And then when I am reading I repeat some of the definitions out loud. I hope you do better on the rest of your tests. Good luck!

Way to go for quitting smoking! I know how hard it is. I quit smoking for good almost 3 years ago (right before I got pregnant with my son). I tried a cig once since then when I went out with my friends and it tasted soooo gross.

I plan on doing Micro and A&P II next semester. That's all I have left for my pre-reqs too! I'm hoping since they're the only 2 classes that I'm taking that I'll do alright. Good luck to you, I'm sure we'll need all the luck we can get:rolleyes: :rotfl:

Yeay, looks like we are getting a group of us - that is good, we can muddle through together. ;) I must be weird or something because I actually think Micro sounds like fun. :rotfl:

Wow, everybody has been busy on here over the weekend. (((((Hugs))))) to those who are struggling and Yay to those doing awesome. I hope everybody comes out on top in the end. It can be very demanding with everything else going on in everybody's busy lives, but if we can get through this, we are one step closer to our goal. Keep your chins up and keep on trying.

Nice to meet you and congrats on quitting for 3 years. It will get better in time. Quitting is something that I truly thought I could never do and for a few years prior I pictured myself suffering from lungcancer and needing an oxygen tank.....even I was so scared of getting sick I kept puffin' away. Nictone is terribly addictive.

So i am failing part one of anatomy. I know the things we are going over but I can't seem to get through the instructors test. This sucks i can't get past a 58 on her test. We have one more test and a final which is 20% of our grade. the lab is 30% and as of now i have a 75 in lab. I know i will have to retake this class, but she is one of the only instructors that teach it. what should i do. my husband recommends that i go on to part II and go back to part I and retake it as a refresher. this is really eating me alive. :crying2: i have to make at least a 90 on the next test and the final and then lab is counted as 30%. that is what i have to do to even get a C. Anyone please help.
