Any good mnemonics for memorizing parts of the brain? It's not that bad but today I hit a wall after studying all morning, going to class and then studying until 3:30. Well, actually I hit the wall around 2:00 LOL ... and mostly what I was thinking about was that MY brain sure wasn't working but this (what I was reading) was what it was SUPPOSED to be doing.
I am getting my test back from psycho tomorrow.....he can take the will to live from people. I met one of his students from a different section today, and the poor lady is even worse flustered than I am.....aaarrrggghhh. I hoope I made at least a B on the test. I'ts depressing and demoralizing to be in his class.
What helped me with the physiology part is trying to tie it all together. I wrote out "a system" of what opens what "door", what flows through freely, etc, then where it goes and what happens then. (Make sense?) lol
Oh and for muscles, this site is good for a diversion as well ... http://getbodysmart.com/ap/musculars...menu/menu.html ... it isolates the muscles and shows the surrounding ones, as well as shows a little diagraphm of the actions of that muscle.
Thanks you two! This helps out a lot! I think I'm finally starting to get it :)
My lab instructor gives an awesome description of the myosin-actin bonding, etc. ... in easier-to-remember terms. I will try to write it out tomorrow for you if you want me to.Thanks you two! This helps out a lot! I think I'm finally starting to get it :)
Want to know something really funny? I was looking at so many pictures of fetal pig dissections yesterday that it did something to my brain ... when I went to bed at night, David Letterman was on with Martha Stewart as a guest. For some reason, when I looked at Martha's face, all I could think of was the fetal pig's skin .. how sick is that?? It looked like she had had a recent botox encounter too. lol!!
I didn't sleep very well last night so I'm heading to bed now. I piffled today when I was studying and I should have gone to bed about 4 hours ago I'm thinking!
Maybe you aced it, who knows!! I'm sorry he is such a basket case prof!I am getting my test back from psycho tomorrow.....he can take the will to live from people. My friend and I decided that we are going to ask to take the test separately from the lecture theatre next time it's held there (not until late Feb. likely) because it is such a bad environment to take the test in. At least the Christmas midterm is at tables in the gym. I hope he will let us. I know the conditions affected my mark. There was a girl pretty much right in my face (i.e., cramped seats, her paper literally less than an inch away). Fortunately I was on an end seat but I rushed just to get out of there because it was driving me so nuts. I still got a good mark but I have room for improvement .. I need all the help I can get!!! :chuckle I doubt anyone even much notices who is taking the test separately (at least in a big class like ours) ... do you think they do and are you in a big class?
Good morning! Make it a great day!!! I'm off to the U soon to get some study in before my Human Growth and Development class!Just can't contain my excitement. Woo. Hoo.
I'm taking that class too!! How are you doing in it? It's a lot easier than A&P I and i spend a lot less time on it haha That would be great if you can let me know the "easier to remember" terms! Our exam on Friday is on the Integument, Skeletal & Muscular systems so anything that is simplified would be awesome!
I am doing okay in it but am frustrated as all get out. I spend way less time on it also, though. I will be back home this aft. and willl type it out, unless I get a chance from school. TTFN!I'm taking that class too!! How are you doing in it? Is anybody on here going to be doing Micro with A&P II spring semester? I just signed up for both of them yesterday - both 100% online. I hope I'm not overdoing it, but that's all I need for pre-reqs, so I want them out of the way! :)
I'm probably going to take A&P II and Chemistry next semester (and maybe Nutrition too). Everyone tells me how hard Chemistry is and I am a little scared to take it. I barely passed in H.S. (probably because I never went to class :imbar ) and that was over 10 years ago. I am a much better student now than I was in H.S.
I have never taken any online courses, so I don't know if those classes would be easier or harder online. I would probably slack though since I am a procrastinator. Good luck with your classes! I'm sure you will do great!
