I'm probably going to take A&P II and Chemistry next semester (and maybe Nutrition too). Everyone tells me how hard Chemistry is and I am a little scared to take it. I barely passed in H.S. (probably because I never went to class :imbar ) and that was over 10 years ago. I am a much better student now than I was in H.S.

I have never taken any online courses, so I don't know if those classes would be easier or harder online. I would probably slack though since I am a procrastinator. Good luck with your classes! I'm sure you will do great!

I'm taking A&P II & Chem next quarter too. I was debating if I should take another class as well, but my school goes by quarter system and it's much faster, so I think I'm just going to stick to the two sciences haha

Is anybody on here going to be doing Micro with A&P II spring semester? I just signed up for both of them yesterday - both 100% online. I hope I'm not overdoing it, but that's all I need for pre-reqs, so I want them out of the way! :)
Yup, I'm there with you, Sarah! I am hoping it won't be too bad.
I'm taking that class too!! How are you doing in it? It's a lot easier than A&P I and i spend a lot less time on it haha That would be great if you can let me know the "easier to remember" terms! Our exam on Friday is on the Integument, Skeletal & Muscular systems :bluecry1: so anything that is simplified would be awesome!
Well, nothing like too much too little too late, but I just quickly scanned my notes on it and put it up and will get it in a better form. http://www.wenham.ca/Muscles.htm Sorry!!!

Well Kayel, we'll either love it or go bonkers, I guess. :D I am weird though - so far, I am actually looking forward to Micro - it sounds interesting. Hopefully we are lucky enough to have good profs.

I am so stressed out. :uhoh21: I went from having a very high A on most of my tests so far to getting a 71% on our last lecture test. Muscle physiology - ugh! I think I aced the lab exam yesterday and thankfully we get to drop our low score. The sad thing is, I wasn't even surprised when I got my test back. I think my prof was though.

I don't know what happened, despite probably 30 hours devoted to studying it I never really had a great grasp on how the physiology worked, but should have gotten at least an 85%. I just had so much other crap going on in my life at the time, including getting into an argument with another student 10 minutes before the exam (I HATE confrontations and was totally provoked), that when I sat down to take the the test my mind just when blank.

I have been doing great at this college and they have a very good nursing program. I have another 3 quarters of pre-reqs and then I can apply for Fall 2007. Now it looks like my husband is going to get a good job offer in Tuscon and we'll be moving again. We've only been here for one year. I found this out the day before the test and of course we stayed up half the night discussing it when I needed to be studying, then my mom called that morning to tell me my grandma is dying and needs me to come visit, and my son's school called, and my great study partners both had their lives falling apart too:uhoh3:.... blah, blah, blah...sorry for all the whining.

So, I have two questions.

One-I know that sometimes life gets weird and has a way of doing this all at once. How do you keep this from affecting your grade?

Two-Does anyone know anything about Pima or University of Arizona?

Thanks for any advice.

Julie64. I am so sorry. :(

"When it rains, it pours" definitely seems to occur when you think everything is going right.

Keep your studies up, I'm sure your grandmother would want that! :) How? I'm not sure, just keep your eyes on your goals, however long it takes. As I always say on here, DON'T GIVE UP! :)

There may be detours, but detours lead back to the main road as long as you don't stop. Good luck, and again, I am sorry. :(

(((((((((((((Julie))))))))))))) Ugh - I hate when life gets in the road like that (hence the reason I am just now getting around to college). You poor thing. Keep your chin up, it will be ok. Sometimes it's ok to let your grades falter just a teeny bit - your overall grade is what's important, so take an emotional break and then work hard on pulling it up later. If grades are super-important to you, then perhaps you can just put everything aside for a couple of days, let your mind rest, and then come back to it and jump in with both feet. Sometimes your mind gets exhausted and you just need a break. Most of all, don't beat yourself up about the one test, it will be ok. A lot of us go through struggles throughout, just remember not to give up! I wish you the best of luck and hope that you continue to pursue your dream - just because there are roadblocks doesn't mean there aren't detours you can use. ;) Good luck - vent when you need to!

Doo doo doo doo! You guys are creepy!! LOL!

Julie, hang in there and don't stress about one mark! It will all balance out! How much is each test worth? It sounds like you are doing an amazing job of the course overall so don't be too down on yourself! It is hard when you have other stressors influencing you. I think if you can just do as much as you can to get a relaxing routine before a test (I had a friend tell me she has certain rituals and always wears her sweats, etc. and it seems to work for her). You can't do a whole lot about last minute things outside of your control, though. HUGS You are still doing great!

Well, I'm off to de-stress and watch a show with dh. Take care, everyone!

Karen, Sarah and Fun2Care....thanks for the encouragement. I just took the afternoon off. I watched Hotel Rwanda with my husband and son. Wow, that really put things in perspective. I really don't have any problems, just a little bit of stress.

Bless you guys,

Julie, you're welcome. I just wish we all had some magic words to make things better.
