These facilities have provided around-the-clock medical care to about 33,000 civilians per month.

The IMC said that since January 2024 it has provided healthcare to more than 383,000 civilians who had no other access to services or treatment, including performing about 11,000 surgeries. According to statistics provided by the IMC, they also assisted in the delivery of some 5,000 babies, screened 111,000 people for malnutrition, treated 2,767 for acute malnutrition and distributed micronutrient supplements to 36,000 people.

Refugees International President Jeremy Konyndyk, who oversaw USAID's COVID-19 assistance portfolio for the Biden administration, refuted Trump and Leavitt's claims Wednesday on X.

"USAID procures condoms for around $0.05 apiece,” he wrote. “$50m would be ONE BILLION condoms. What's going on here is NOT a billion condoms for Gaza. What's going on is that the bros at DOGE apparently can't read govt spreadsheets.”...

Buying condoms for hamas is a great idea. At least all the women and younger girls won't get pregnant and STIs from Hamas when they rape them.

FAA Provides Aviation Careers to People with Disabilities

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today announced a pilot program to help prepare people with disabilities for careers in air traffic operations.

A key focus for the FAA's Office of Civil Rights is to identify specific opportunities for people with targeted disabilities, empower them and facilitate their entry into a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

The FAA will enroll up to 20 people in the Aviation Development Program. They will train for up to one year at 10 Air Route Traffic Control Centers throughout the U.S.

The candidates in this program will receive the same rigorous consideration in terms of aptitude, medical and security qualifications as those individuals considered for a standard public opening for air traffic controller job...

Trump claimed today that he had changed Obama's criteria for hiring air traffic controllers with greater diversity — when in fact he left it unchanged. Moreover, he decried the fact that FAA hired controllers with a range of disabilities that he listed at the news conference. But that program was launched during his first term. Three persons graduated from that training program and hired Full-Time --expect contact from current Trump HR department.

I don't think that he is capable of understanding these things at this point. Trump's ignorance seems to be refractory. That republican voters perceive this guy to be smart and strong is a testament to how well propaganda works.
