I must be in a good mood. Sent 3 home today, kids who I haven't seen all year and not feeling great, but no definitive symptoms to say yes. Golden ticket day here.

I sent a teacher home, via the ER!

First time ? anaphylactic reaction to brazil nuts of all things....

I also sent 3 kids home. Seniors, non FF's vague-ish symptoms, because WHY NOT?

Awfully close to the end of the year. Sure it wasn't a malingering kind of anaphylaxis?

Getting soft in your old age? I remember back when I was in school (and walked uphill both ways in the snow to get there and home), you had to be visibly puking, spiking a temp over 99.9, or have obvious deformity/hemorrhage to get your parents called.

This is me too. If it's a kid I don't recognize, I have them lay down while I look up their health office history.. if it is a student who has been at my school for more than a year without so much as a loose tooth.. they get the benefit of the doubt and a phone call to parents to give them the option of picking up the child. If it's a FF- back to class they go.
