I must be in a good mood. Sent 3 home today, kids who I haven't seen all year and not feeling great, but no definitive symptoms to say yes. Golden ticket day here.

I'm in MA, folks. We get terrible humidity, but really only for the last couple of weeks of school and sometimes the first couple of weeks of school in September. I'd be more concerned when our heat has an issue during the winter! Most of the public schools in Boston do not have AC - very old buildings around here.
My office is in the basement - no AC. I do have a dehumidifier.

She used my phone when I was out of the office. It was the last week of school last year and they weren't returning (very vocal of that fact). They were both hovering and demanding I call their mother. I had a few students I was dealing with and they were getting upset. I went to get an icepack and they used my phone. They were the rudest kids here and mom is a REAL witch.
Sorry, thought this quoted Jen-Elizabeth's post asking how she called home.

I live in the mountains of far northern California - all our schools are air-conditioned! I'm kind of amazed there are school w/o AC. I love the heat and hate being cold but I understand that heat can make you feel sleepy. I do think it isn't conducive to learning. (Ducking so I don't get hit with someone's stethoscope!)Oh . . .why are you guys still in school? Spidey's been out since last Friday.

It gets so hot in our classrooms, one teacher had a 105 reading on her thermometer. It also gets humid. the kids feel dizzy, and have even vomited from the heat. (In the classroom!) It's ridiculous that we don't have some kind of cooling system.

Nah, his very fat tongue proved otherwise!!!
The politically correct term is "girth enhanced tongue".
There will be no political correctness in my thread.

Our school does not have AC, but my office does.
That being said, it is barely 60 degrees out here today. I have long pants and a sweatshirt on today.
Not a "plus sized" or "husky" tongue?
I checked previous threads.
You are telling the truth.

Shaddup. I *like* that term.
