And when do you expect to hear? And how many letters are you waiting for?

Feeling like we need to keep track of what's going on and who's expecting ,what, when. :)

Me me me! I am still waiting on 2 letters!!! One won't come until the end of May (yikes :uhoh3: ) but the other one should come pretty soon, but it will just let me know if I ended up on their 3 year "waiting" list, so I am really hoping I get into the Fall 07 program! But I am on pins and needles and still have two months to go! Please everyone, say a prayer for me! I've come so far and I so want to get into a program this year! I am 41 years old and I feel like my time is running out on this dream!!!

Thanks,

Vicky

Your time is NOT running out! I'll be 51 at graduation, so keep the faith, OK?

Thank you Don. I know I need to keep the faith, I just feel like time is moving at warp speed and I am going to be the oldest person to ever graduate nursing school. I know it is stupid, but I can't help it.

Thanks for your post, I do feel better. And I am feeling very positive right now about getting in THIS year. In fact, I am really considering quitting my full time job in May so I can finish up my last two classes (critical thinking and ethnic studies) during the summer intersession so I can take the rest of the summer OFF and hopefully start my RN program in May! My only dilemma is: what if I quit my job and then I don't get in? This is so hard because I won't find out until the end of May, right when my two classes would be starting! I wouldn't quit my job without giving them at least a 2 week notice, that just wouldn't be right. So what do I do??????? Risk it?

Thanks for any and all advice!!!!

Oh please :nono: ....40 is the new 30!

I'm waiting to hear from two schools.

I'm 46 and my 48 yr old husband had a stroke the day after Thanksgiving. I was going to school for OTA/PTA and knew that I needed to make more money b/c I probably will be supporting my family; me, husband and 2 college age sons.

In January I had to finish 3 incomplete classes from last semester (b/c I was at the hospital every day during December) and start 2 new classes. I really can't get enough of A&P so I started tne process toward applying to nursing schools. I signed up to take the NLN during the second week of January and took it on 2/24 (148 composite) and got 3 application packets together.

So now, I'm waiting to hear. I see that this is a good place of support which I hope I can be a part of.

I have only applied to one school - Hunter College! Still waiting on NLN results, and wont hear from school until end of May regarding acceptance (or rejection, LOL). :o

Me...I applied to two schools. I got my acceptance letter for the first one back in Oct. It was the only school I applied to. Then I read some posts on here and decided to apply to a second school just in case. Letters are supposed to be mailed sometime near the end of March.

I can't wait to hear everyone else's good news!!

I am impatiently waiting for one letter. A decision should be mailed by the end of the month.

I'm also waiting on the UNC-Chapel Hill accelerated program! I currently live in San Diego and may only get 1 month's notice (classes start May 15th) to start a new life and move across country! Crazy!

It's been 12 days and no NLN results. They said 2 weeks, but I was really praying it came today. lol

Batman, it took forever to get my results. I ended up calling NLN after 2 weeks and they swore they mailed them but made me wait another full week until they would remail it. Needless to say, it never came so I had to call them again....It ended up taking almost a MONTH to get my scores!

What a pain!

Has your mm come today? I get it gets to you today or tomorrow.

I'm waiting on one letter to find out how far down I am on the wait list. The school said mid to late April.
