  1. Might be a stupid question, but can an RN who is only BLS certified push drugs during a code on the floor if not ACLS certified when ordered by doctor?
  2. I'm getting tuition reimbursement through the VA, which is awesome!
  3. The "alcohol foam" is fine if you haven't come in contact with bodily fluids.
  4. Associates = 2 years Bachelors = 4 years
  5. I know that by piggybacking medications you don't have to stop IV fluids, but what about if the patient isn't on IV fluids. Why do you have to piggyback the antibiotic? Is it because the normal saline acts as a flush after the fact?
  6. thanks for the suggestions! I'm a med/surg nurse
  7. I'm a new nurse, and want to be the best nurse I can be! haha ..... I know that takes time. Anyway, I just want to know what nursing journal will aid me in keeping up to date and refreshed on my practice.
  8. If wearing scrubs out in public was such a hazard, we'd all be dead by now.
  9. 286 applications!? I didn't know it was like that in Boston. I just graduated and got the job I wanted before graduation, and it was the only application I filled out. I live in Charleston, SC
  10. I dunno, some of the stories rnffemtguy has told about nurses seem a bit much.
  11. Charleston, SC, and their are 3 nursing schools in the Charleston area.
  12. Don't worry. I just graduated and found a job before I graduated. So did a bunch of my classmates.
  13. Also, there were quite a few out of state people in my class. I am relieved, although the program flew by!! and most of us got jobs before we graduated so don't worry about that. If you have any other questions about the program or anything...just message me!
  14. I just graduated from MUSC last year, and I had to take the GRE to get in, so I'm not sure how they're computing the SAT into everything. I do know that it was pretty much the GRE that made us competitive. So maybe you can take the SAT again if you're not happy with the score. I didn't do stellar on the GRE, and still got in.
  15. yaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! congrats!! I just took them today and am waiting for my results.
