Is anyone here takining A&P II this spring besides me? I was wondering, what have you all heard about the difficulty of this class? Do you hear that it is harder than I, easier, or about the same? I loved A&P I, but some of it was really tough for me (sliding filament theory, nerves, etc.). I did end up with an A, because I studied my butt off, but I'm hoping to be in the nursing program this spring, and I know that's going to keep me really busy as it is.
It helps me knowing that the professor for this class is pretty cute! :chuckle

I am taking it this Spring too but I have not heard yet how it compares to A&P 1. I still have to go through my final 2 exams this week. I hope it is better. So you are starting the nursing program and doing A&P 2 at the same time? Have you taken micro yet?

i have a great memory, which is why i am going to say that a&p 1 was easier for me. straight memorization comes really easy......which is why i had to work much harder and found it more difficult to get through a&p 2. a&p 2 is much more physiology than a&p1. if you were good with the physiology part in a&p 1, you should do just fine.
Yeah, I took microbiology with A&P I this last semester, and got A's in both. I figure if I made it though those two, along with taking two other classes, I might survive next semester intact, as well. Hopefully!
I will know in the next 2 weeks if I will be admitted to the nursing program.

I would say that AP2 was about twice as difficult as AP1 ..well, maybe not more difficult, but a LOT more physiology. The plus side, is that the anatomy in AP2 was a cinch.

I just finished AP1 and got an A. I will be taking AP2, Micro 1 and Nutrition. I am hoping that I will be able to make it and not have to drop any classes. I work full time and just made President's list having gotten all As in General Sociology, General Psychology and AP1 and lab.
One thing I am doing is reading ahead before the class starts.
We need to meet back in Jan to chime in as to how our classes are going

I'm taking A&P 2 next semester. I don't know how it's going to be like, but I heard it was much easier. I don't know whether that's true or not, but I'll find out next semester.
Both of my sisters have completed AP1, AP2 and Micro. They both told me that they thought AP2 was a bit easier. However, who knows, it could be that after taking AP1 which was newer, anything later would be easier.
I loved A&P I, but some of it was really tough for me (sliding filament theory, nerves, etc.).
Did your textbook happen to come with all the CDs and whatnot? Maybe you've already seen these, but the Interactive Physiology or whatever it's called CD is fantastic for explaining the concepts. Good luck with next semester!

Okay this may sound crazy, but I took A&P II this fall and I am taking A&P I this spring 2009. I know that's backwards but my school let us do whatever we want! LOL! Plus all the A&P I's were full! But 2 wasn't so bad, alot of memorizing! But if you are interested in knowing about the body you will love it hun!

Well then, MY experiences with science are kind of backwards. i got a c in a&p 1, a B in a&p2 and an A in Micro. haha. So i dunno if i would be able to help ya. haha. But I thought a&p2 was easier than a&p1. Just me.
Good luck!
