A&P II Spring 2009, anyone?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Is anyone here takining A&P II this spring besides me? I was wondering, what have you all heard about the difficulty of this class? Do you hear that it is harder than I, easier, or about the same? I loved A&P I, but some of it was really tough for me (sliding filament theory, nerves, etc.). I did end up with an A, because I studied my butt off, but I'm hoping to be in the nursing program this spring, and I know that's going to keep me really busy as it is.

It helps me knowing that the professor for this class is pretty cute! :chuckle

I love my A&P II class. My teacher rocks! She posts her outlines for notes online before we go over it, so we have a guidline to go by. We have online quizzes that we are allowed to take as many times as needed to get and A. I have my first exam tomorrow night, on Nervous review, Endocrine, and Blood. I've been studying my notes and quizzes all weekend and will until class tomorrow....I think I'll do ok. I pulled an A in A&P I with the same teacher, should be able to do the same this time (I hope!)

I'm in A&P 2 now. Test on cardiovascular coming up Monday. I heard both stories, 2nd semester is harder, 2nd semester easier. I think 2 will be a little easier because I know more of what to expect now, and what kinds of study time help me the most. Big difference in teachers too. First sem had a very nice but burnt-out teacher, this semester teacher is all gung-ho.

hey everyone, haven't been on in awhile and trying to keep the thread alive. just had a test today on cranial nerves, neural tissue, nervous system, and brain. probably one of the hardest tests i've had yet! imo i think a&p ii is harder for the simple reason that it's more physiology. that and my teacher makes his tests and quizzes impossible, you never know what to expect and he's just very very in depth with everything. somehow i am getting away with a b in the class, but really would like to pull it up to an a! i got an a in a&p i so this whole b thing is taking getting used to. well only one more month and we're off to summer break! wish the best of luck to everyone! :)

4 weeks and counting left in my A&PII class. My prof was a real pain at first. Now that I have gotten to know him better, I understand that his personality is an "acquired taste". A&PII is definitely harder than A&PI but I have a higher grade in A&PII because I'm learning how to think more critically. Best wishes to everyone.

I can't wait for this semester to be over because it has been challenging. I have the worst A&P II instructor who does a bad job explaining the material.

Wow, I actually think that AP2 was easier but to each their own. Good luck ladies.

I thing as you do. AP II is much easier for me than API. I am not sure why, but maybe because is less memorization and more applying? I love Physiology and I have more fun with studying it then I had with Anatomy :)

A & P II is winding down now. I'd say this material is harder than A&P I - more process oriented, more details, but the class is going better for me because the teacher has a more organized approach.

I don't think A+P 2 was any easier, just more interesting. I feel like we can use a lot more stuff from this semester in nursing than last semester. Since all of the stuff this semester was more internal A+P it was just a lot more Physiology. It all kinda of fit together nicely. My teacher made the tests a lot harder this semester since the test averages were pretty high last semester at about a low to mid B. it was the same teacher as last semester. He's a great teacher, his test questions are just really confusing sometimes. You really have to know the material backwards and forwards. So, if there are any freshmen at Florida State taking A+P 1 in the fall be ready to study Dr.Su's lecture notes like crazy! The book doesn't really help at all. His tests come directly from the notes he posts on Bb.
