  1. I can definitely empathize with you. Unfortunately since nursing is a field dominated by women, we have to put up with the most nosey, gossiping, talkative, and emotional people. I just tune them out to the best of my ability.
  2. 1. Get a new car 2. Get a new apartment 3. Payback school loans
  3. I did it two semesters straight. First semester I took Chem I, Anat I, and two other classes. Then the next semester I took Chem II, Anat II, Pathophysiology, and another class. It's challenging because sometimes tests seem to overlap and you'll have times that feel like "finals week". Just study early and hard.
  4. Boys: Joshua, Corian, Ryan, Adam, William, Christopher, Jaden Girls: Sinclaire, Lauren, Gabrielle
  5. My anti-failture advice is just working as hard as you can and believing in yourself. People who have different majors often say "It does not take all of that studying!" Don't listen to them. They just don't understand the hard task we have and the amount of information we have to understand. Best wishes.
  6. I don't think the shortage will end. There are alot of nurses who are retiring. Also there are alot of burned out nurses who are leaving to go into a different field. Also, even though there are tons of nursing students, nursing school is VERY competitive due to the lack of available schools to fulfll the demand.
  7. 1. I love the adrenaline rush. (desk jobs and same-old-routine jobs just don't cut it for me) 2. I love helping others and feeling needed. 3. I love the challenge and mystery and the fact that you can learn something new from just about every patient.
  8. I had a friend that was an avid cheater. I'm a believer that you can never truly get ahead from doing wrong. Consequently, every time she took two steps forward, she would go backwards three. What I'm saying is that cheaters never win in the long-run. They get accustomed to cheating and never really tap into their full potential. All it does is cripple them in their field of study. I had a teacher back in high school that always used to say, "Take note of the ambitious, determined people in your class...if you aren't one, chances are you will be working for one someday."
  9. If you are already in an established and serious relationship then it might not be as bad as if you were in a relationship that you are 'trying to get up off the ground'. I had the later and nursing school has definitely put a strain on things. With clinicals, studying, and just being tired in general, I honestly didn't have a lot of time for dating. My motto is work first, play later. If he's a good guy and understands how ambitious you are then he will most likely be understanding. If not, he's honestly not even worth it then.
  10. 4 weeks and counting left in my A&PII class. My prof was a real pain at first. Now that I have gotten to know him better, I understand that his personality is an "acquired taste". A&PII is definitely harder than A&PI but I have a higher grade in A&PII because I'm learning how to think more critically. Best wishes to everyone.
