Interview with scrubs on

Hello I have an interview coming up and was wondering if it would be appropriate to wear my scrubs from my current facility for the interview. I will be going to the interview straight from work or should I take a change of cloths???

I have worn scrubs when I have interviewed during my lunch. I would not after being at work all day. You will feel better after you change too.

I assume that to you, it does matter. If so, dress appropriately for an interview maybe?

I actually just completed a joint interview with my manager today. The person that came to the interview just got off from work and still had on her scrubs. This was a "complete deal breaker" according to my manager. With our job, we mostly work at home, but when we are out we are required to wear business casual. The worse part of this situation is there is a very intensive 3 part interview process and if you make it to the 3rd part, you usually have the job offer (its just meeting the manager and someone else from the team). I hope she learns from this and everyone else who are debating going to an interview in scrubs.

@prnqday to say I don't deserve the job is kind of ridiculous just because I asked a question. If you look at my second post I explained that I was asking the question because I had some nurses tell me they would go in scrubs to an interview....I was just wondering what others thought....FYI I have never gone to an interview in scrubs.....It was just a question.

I went to a job fair in scrubs a few months back. After reading somewhere here, I shouldn't have. However, I was on my way to work, had a coworker on days cover just in case I was later than I expected, and came with my resume in hand.

I ended up getting an interview and was offered a position. Going to an actual interview in scrubs......hmmm well if it was at the same place but a different unit, I landed it just after my shift ended, and I was uber confident, then yes I would go in my work clothes. A totally different place, I would change for sure. Nothing wrong with asking a question :)

The only time I wore scrubs was during the "peer" interview of a position, otherwise I wear business casual.

When I interviewed for the job I'm in now, I had to work the night before and then had 1/2 hour to go across town to the interview. Thankfully I remembered a change of clothes but left them inthe car. So I got off, ran out, drove to McDonalds, changed, drove on to the interview and ended up doing ok. But I wouldn't have ever gone in my scrubs, just not professional.
