NCLEX application in NY for NON-US applicants.

I am a nurse here in the Philippines and it is my first time to apply for a licensure at New York State. I'm processing my CGFNS Credential Verification for New York State (CVS) online, but I haven't completed it yet. I just wanna make sure if I'm doing the right thing. Is there anyone here who can help me or give me information on the step by step process of applying for a license in NY state, from CGFNS up to application at the NY State Education Department (NYSED). I am doing the process on my own and just basing it from what I read from the site and the other blogs here, but I'm still confused. Can someone help me on this? One who had undergone the same process before. Thanks!

Do not lie or omit information from the BON, it may have serious results if found.

Just saw this forum, I also had the same issue, I am working with my Nclex application and I already submitted my documents to CGFNS and they've told me they already received my papers just waiting for response from my school and license authority, I also worked and had a Singapore license but I already quit my job there last July 2015 and they took back my license,I'm in New Jersey now with non immigrant status, that's why I just declare my PH license but there's a question where I work recently and I answered Singapore. So anyone knows what should I do then? Thanks in advance.

Submit a correction NOW. unless you want to be denied for falsification on the application. You must submit corrections to CGFNS in writing

Hi everyone, I am new to this group. I found this group very useful. i have a question, my CVS report has been issued and sent to state board of Newyork in november 10th. I have already sent my application to NYSED 3 months back. now how long will NYSED take time to make eligible to sit in test? do you have any idea?? please help me!!!!!! i am tired of waiting because cgfns took 14 months to issue report for me. i have not got any response from NYSED from 3 months.

Did you register & pay Pearson Vue? They will email your ATT once approved by NY BoN and it's quicker than waiting for a letter from the BoN via mail

Thank you for the reply. i am just waiting BON for the approval. i do not how much time they will take after the report is issued from CGFNS. i got my report issued in November 10th. Now how much time should i have to wait for the approval from BON? i am really confused. Please help me

Hard to say but you won't get an ATT for the NCLEX until you register at Pearson Vue and pay the fee. It's the "off season" so likely quicker than if it were January or May when all the graduates apply

My understanding is the Board meets once a month to discuss IEN applications

So BON will take 1 month to review my application and report from cgfns, right?

At least a month relative to the number of applications to be assessed and reviewed.

Thank you so much for the information.. Some said that BON will take 4-6 month for their process , so got worried. hope they will soon update me.

tried to email NY Bon last nov. 20 and got a reply from them that my credentials from cgfns has been received and my file was forwarded to their comparative education unit for evaluation. How many weeks will I get my eligibility from the time they received my cvs report? thanks! so far been waiting for 8months for cvs and counting....
