NCLEX application in NY for NON-US applicants.

I am a nurse here in the Philippines and it is my first time to apply for a licensure at New York State. I'm processing my CGFNS Credential Verification for New York State (CVS) online, but I haven't completed it yet. I just wanna make sure if I'm doing the right thing. Is there anyone here who can help me or give me information on the step by step process of applying for a license in NY state, from CGFNS up to application at the NY State Education Department (NYSED). I am doing the process on my own and just basing it from what I read from the site and the other blogs here, but I'm still confused. Can someone help me on this? One who had undergone the same process before. Thanks!

im so lost!! i received an email from CGFNS that they already forwarded my file. the email date was July 26, 2017 but until now i have not received anything from NYSED. seeing some people here who get notified by NYSED about their file was put to COMPED and in my case nothing at all makes me wonder if theres something wrong with my file. Is there anyone here who received submitted file from CGFNS and nothing from NYSED and still got an eligibility letter?

hey! I'm just endorsing, I don't need eligibility. But anyway, so 07/26 when I checked my CGFNS acct online, says CVS submitted to NYSED. Then 07/28 I emailed opunit4@nysed and asked if they received my CVS, they replied the same day that it was already submitted to COMPED(I guess they're evaluating my credentials) they said wait for several weeks I would inquire again on 08/28 and see if there's any progress. my personal email is [email protected] if you wanna keep updated.

oh okay... my initial understanding was i thought you received an automatic email of receipt of your cgfns docs from nysed. tried to follow up on my application and sent few messages to that email address but didnt get any response. thank you for clarifying i can relax now lol

When CGFNS sent their report to NY-BON, it took me 4weeks to recieved an Eligibility from Ney York state. If it is more than 4 to 6 weeks, call and ask the NYSED for an update.

i have 1 question about the registration on child abuse and infection training.. they asked if i am currently license? if i answered yes they will ask on what state, but i am license on the philippines and there is no philippines in the choices? what should i do? do i need to answer no in this question? tnx for the answer..

They only asked for license in any US states. Like if you have been licensed lawyer, a doctor, a midwife other than RN license in the USA. Not any foreign license.

hello guys its been a while that i havent posted an update with my cvs.. well heres my timeline, started cvs in march 2015 at 8 months around 2nd week of november my cvs report was issued and submitted to bureau of comparative education before it was forwarded to nysed. around second week of january i got my eligibility, went on to register at pearson vue to pay then a day after i got my att. i immediately booked to sit for the nclex test on feb 25, 2016. two days later i found out i passed the nclex test ( my name is also at nursys) 6 weeks after i got my license certificate and registration. last june 25, 2016 i sat for the ielts test in prepration for the visa screen, luckily last july 8 i got the score necessary for visa screen application.... now i am about to start business with cgfns again. heheheheheheheheh

Thought NY BON doesn't require english exam? What visa are you applying for?

Has any one here used the "applyready" for CVS NYS or Nclex? I learnt their fee is $499 for the whole Nclex journey.

I am about to submit the application to NYSED. After I fill out the application form

Online Form 1 - Application for Licensure, last it goes to the online payment page by using credit card.

Anyone know if we can use credit card pay, because when I check the requirement, it mentioned:

Payment submitted from outside the United States should be made by check or draft on a United States bank and in United States currency; payments submitted in any other form will not be accepted and will be returned.

Also after I completed all the information without payment. Next time when I want to continue the online application, the Social Security Number is required.

Any one can help with this ?

Wow! A new decade has come and I am revisiting this thread to remind myself about my USA dream. Here I am right now, completing my VisaScreen and I will be sitting for IELTS tomorrow morning. ??
