NCLEX application in NY for NON-US applicants.

I am a nurse here in the Philippines and it is my first time to apply for a licensure at New York State. I'm processing my CGFNS Credential Verification for New York State (CVS) online, but I haven't completed it yet. I just wanna make sure if I'm doing the right thing. Is there anyone here who can help me or give me information on the step by step process of applying for a license in NY state, from CGFNS up to application at the NY State Education Department (NYSED). I am doing the process on my own and just basing it from what I read from the site and the other blogs here, but I'm still confused. Can someone help me on this? One who had undergone the same process before. Thanks!

Cgfns takes forever to send stuff and weeks after they receive they be saying it hasn't been processed yet

hello guys its been a while that i havent posted an update with my cvs.. well heres my timeline, started cvs in march 2015 at 8 months around 2nd week of november my cvs report was issued and submitted to bureau of comparative education before it was forwarded to nysed. around second week of january i got my eligibility, went on to register at pearson vue to pay then a day after i got my att. i immediately booked to sit for the nclex test on feb 25, 2016. two days later i found out i passed the nclex test ( my name is also at nursys) 6 weeks after i got my license certificate and registration. last june 25, 2016 i sat for the ielts test in prepration for the visa screen, luckily last july 8 i got the score necessary for visa screen application.... now i am about to start business with cgfns again. heheheheheheheheh

hello I just want to ask what forms do I need to pass to NYSED for my NCLEX application?only Form 1 and certificates?No need for Form 3 for the license?How about for the payment, does it need the bankdraft or money order is from the U.S bank?Is it ok the bankdraft is from philippine bank but in dollar account?..thanks

hi, did you wait for the cvs report of cgfns to release before you submit your application form to NYSED or you sent the application to NYSED while waiting for CGFNS report?

I actually did not, I actually sent my application first to NYSED then To CGFNS. I guess it's okay if you send it before receiving the report.

I sent the form 1, and exemptions forms because I did not take the trainings.

Hello colleagues! I am actually about to process my CVS and I wanted to know which documents are need to be notarize? And is the notarized document need to be authenticate(red ribbon) by the Philippine Embassy(dfa)? I'm actually licensed nurse in my country (Philippines) and currently working in UAE. And regarding with the application to NYSED? Do I need to get all the forms notarized and authenticated? or notary only? How about the signature? Kindly please help me colleagues. thank you so much!

I know this forum has been idle for quite a while now, but I am just taking my chances to whoever can reply and clarify my concerns. Special mention to NursePao whom I have been bugging about my queries :roflmao: I just want to ask about Form 3 - Verification of Other Professional Licensure/Certification. I have been told over and over again that there is no need to submit this to NYSED. But I don't seem to be convinced as I have declared to CGFNS that I have current practicing certificate and registration in both Australia and the Philippines. I am just wary about the possible consequences if I don't declare or submit anything about my other licenses. Will I still need to submit Form 3 even if my registration is in a jurisdiction outside of the US?

And one more thing, with Form 1 Question 19, "Do you now hold, or have you ever held, a license or certificate to practice any profession* in any jurisdiction?", does this need to be filled out still if again, my registrations is in a jurisdiction outside of the US?

Cheers to those who can reply to my questions. I have emailed NYSED about this but I have received no reply, so I reckon there's no use waiting for it anymore.
