NCLEX application in NY for NON-US applicants.

I am a nurse here in the Philippines and it is my first time to apply for a licensure at New York State. I'm processing my CGFNS Credential Verification for New York State (CVS) online, but I haven't completed it yet. I just wanna make sure if I'm doing the right thing. Is there anyone here who can help me or give me information on the step by step process of applying for a license in NY state, from CGFNS up to application at the NY State Education Department (NYSED). I am doing the process on my own and just basing it from what I read from the site and the other blogs here, but I'm still confused. Can someone help me on this? One who had undergone the same process before. Thanks!

Hi! If you haven't submitted your nurse form 1 and payment to NYSEd. Now is the right time to submit then wait for approximately 6-8 weeks for the outcome of your application. Good luck!

Hi, I just want to ask some questions regarding the CVS process. I am so confused. I graduated in the Philippines and I didn't take the local board, my 1st question is what will I check in the #1 question in the application? Should I check the RN box?

2nd, in the education part. I didn't have anything to put in the post-secondary section since after highs hool (secondary) I proceeded with my healthcare related course. Do I just leave it blank?

3rd, in the authorization part. Who should be my authorized agent? I really don't have any idea.

Get the CVS started with CGFNS. Child and infection courses can easily be done online and approved places will be posted on the NY website.

i have 1 question about the registration on child abuse and infection training.. they asked if i am currently license? if i answered yes they will ask on what state, but i am license on the philippines and there is no philippines in the choices? what should i do? do i need to answer no in this question? tnx for the answer..

Hi! NY state eligibility does not expire, right? Coz I had mine since oct 2015 but I only had guts to take this year lol. I have a friend who had her eligibility 2014 and she took it last yr as well. Just want to ask of anyone here were also like us hehe

I believe it is 5 years with NY state

Hello did you already receive your eligibility letter from nysed? incase you have did you get it thru mail or email? thanks!

hello msRNcris, did you get your license already? last 07/28 got an email that CGFNS forwarded CVS to NYSED already and nysed emailed me that it was in COMPED already, i>m wondering how long will it take still to get a license number? thank you in advance.

im so lost!! i received an email from CGFNS that they already forwarded my file. the email date was July 26, 2017 but until now i have not received anything from NYSED. seeing some people here who get notified by NYSED about their file was put to COMPED and in my case nothing at all makes me wonder if theres something wrong with my file. Is there anyone here who received submitted file from CGFNS and nothing from NYSED and still got an eligibility letter?
