Hello everyone I took the Nclex today and got 265 quetions, but I am not confident, because the questions was hard, Saunders woud have done it, when the computer pass 75, I went bizzare, but then I calm down and said I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, could you believe this an A student 265 question, let see, God is good.

I am terribly depressed today. I took the nclex yesterday and i think i reached 254 (or 264?) and I ran out of time. I know they will judge my test differently for running out of time. last 60 questions rule...the more i read about it the more discouraged i become. i now think i failed. I am unable to do anything and there's this lump on my throat...i do not know how to face a lot of people if I fail...does anyone know anyone in my situation with a happy ending?

Try the NCLEX board under student nurse forum. I think there have been a few that ran out of time, most failed but not all. It ain't over til you hear that fat lady singing though.

I passed with 265 last week. Good luck!

Hang in there, guys!

It is better to have more questions because the more questions you have, the greater the chance of getting a higher score..Like in school, if you have five exams worth 50 points each, it is better than having only two exams worth 50 points each..The more points you can get the better possbility of getting a higher grade..You can do terrible in some questions plus you can bounce right back up. with more questions

Well I would love to say that I passed with 265 questions but I didn't, actually I failed twice with 265, but I know four other people in my class who passed (first try) with 265. 265 or whatever number is not any indication of pass or fail. I did finally pass the NCLEX on my 3rd try with 75 questions. But that was after alot of soul searching, mind cleansing, and Xanax (just kidding). Getting 75 questions didn't make me fill any more confident that when I got 265. I actually felt worst. I mean to think that in 75 question I convienced a computer that I am that DUMB or that NERVOUS(which is what happens the majority of the time to people) was really scary. To all that have experienced that beast of 265, I fell, felt, and will never forget your pain, but with FAITH 265 or even 260 will be your favorite number. You are all in my prayers.

To post #7, I read your survey on anohter post and I did get the do not disclose question, and I think it's a good thing.

The issue here is more running out of time than getting 265, I know those who passed with the max but how about the pass rate for running out of time?

I don't think anyone can give you that passage rate with any kind of accuracy. Only guesses. According to the NCLEX info, if you do run out of time, it will look at the last 60 questions only. If you stayed above the level of passing for those 60 questions, then it will pass you. But if at any point you fell below the level of passing, it will fail you. That doesn't mean you can't get any wrong within those 60, but it does mean that it would be that much harder to pass it (given that the reason it's GIVING you more and more questions is because you're running close to the wire).

I'm not going to sit here and say "I'm sure you passed", I have no way of knowing that (remember false reassurance!). BUT that doesn't mean I don't hope you passed, and know that no matter WHAT the statistics are, you are an individual and your results are your own. If the odds of passing are high and you don't, then statistics don't mean anything. Same in reverse.

Sit tight, wait for your results, and don't make yourself sick. We want to see you in one piece at the end of all this! :)

I heard that 2 people in my graduating class both got 265 questions and still passed.

I took the NCLEX on Thursday and I have 265 Q's. I didn't run out of time but I have a bad feeling about the test. I don't know if it's because I have more than the lucky 75, the questions we difficult or what. But in reality, it can go both ways at 75 or 265 (pass or fail). I will pray for you and I ask that you do the same for me. This has been a long weekend because all I can do is think about is if I passed or not. The results are not posted yet but I'm sure they will be tomorrow. So, all I can do is hope and pray. Wish me well and keep me in your prayers. So, please believe you are not the only one who has experienced this, I know what you are going through.
