  2. There's a New grad program in psych at UCLA. It's an excellent program, I started in July. I work in the adolescent unit and I love it. The nice thing about UCLA is they have child, adolescent, adult and geriatric psych. The starting pay is $ 28.84/hr and if you work evenings there is a @2.25/hr differential and after 6 months the 28.84/hr goes to 30.50. All RN's at UCLA make the same money, it doesn't matter what dept. you work in. UCLA is an excellent place to work. I hope this helps you. Good luck!!
  3. Lectures are Mon & Thurs. I decided not to work at the county. I was interested in Psych, so I decided to go work at UCLA (adolescent psychiatry) and I love it. Pros of the program at the county: Excellent clinical experience and it's pretty cheap. Cons: can't really think of any. When people hear you graduated from the county they know you are ready.
  4. I just graduated from LA County College of Nursing in May. 1st semester the clinical hours are 7am - 1:30pm Mon-thurs, 2nd semester 7-2:30 M-TH, 3rd and 4th semester 7am - 3:30pm Mon-thurs. On clinical days there is no lecture. I hope this helps.
  5. I passed with 265 last week. Good luck!
  6. I took NCLEX last week and I got 265 Q's. So, I know what you're going through. I passed, so it's definitely possible to pass with 265. Including myself I know 5 people who have got 265 and out of those 5, 4 have passed. Good luck!! Also, think positive.
  7. I found in 3 days
  8. I got 92% probability of passing NCLEX. I passed NCLEX with 265 Q's
  9. Just found out I passed at 265. Good luck! Just think positive.
  10. I passed the boards everyone. So, there's another example of how possible it is to pass with 265 Q's. Thanks for all the positive feedback. Good luck to all of you.
  11. Hello everyone, I have been visiting this site throughout nursing school. However, this is my 1st post. Well, I took the big boy yesterday and It gave me all that I could handle-the whole 265. I was really disappointed when the exam didn't shut off at 75. I thought I was doing well. Anyway, I left Pearson in a daze and my condition didn't change as the day progressed. Well, today I feel better, but still anxious about the results.I start work on monday at UCLA, this is the job I really wanted, and I would hate to not be able to hold on to it due to not passing NCLEX. So, I got a lot of priority questions, about 5 select all that apply, infection control, about 5 med questions, 1 calculation question. It covered all the areas: OB, Peds, neuro, psych, cardio, respiratory, ortho. Man, I just want to know one way another (pass or fail). I live in CA, so who knows when I'll get the results. I wish everyone waiting the very best. As well as those waiting to take NCLEX, the very best.
