  1. thanks everyone! My plans after graduation are to work as a psych nurse. I'm so excited to get started!
  2. I got my results this morning (Saturday) from Thursday's test and am now an RN! How I studied: Reviewed all chapters of Saunder's and did end of chapter tests. Did Mosby's online CAT and got 94%-99% Did tons of the Saunder's CD questions Did the Kaplan book (didn't take the course) and their CD How the test went: Awful. It only took me 35 minutes and it shut off at 75 and I cried. I felt like I missed a million of them and have been a ball of nerves ever since. I'm normally a really good test-taker and this was the worst test I've ever had! Advice: Take the earplugs when offered. Go to bed nice and early and DONT try to cram (it won't help you) Eat a good breakfast before (by good I mean something with lots of grease and carbs to make your tummy feel ffull) Don't agonize over questions, you'll talk yourself out of your gut instinct Good luck to all the test takers and thank God for this board!
  3. I only had two, but they were hell. I had at least 10 infection control and about 5 delegation. Ugh. Fingers crossed for you!
  4. I thought it was strange too, but the lady said that it would be transmitted this morning and probably posted this afternoon. Another test-taker said that her friend got her results ~2 hours after the test. I am dying here!! Thanks for the wishes, I'm going for a run in a bit and out for dinner/drinks later to celebrate being finished (and hopefully that I passed!)
  5. I took the test this morning. She is an ugly, mean little test, isn't she??? 75 questions. Blue screen. Tears. Anyway, I tried to look up my score because the lady at the test center said it could be available as soon as this afternoon (and it's afternoon!) and under "status" it says "ready for delivery" but won't let me click on anything. Help!!
  6. Oh thank you, thank you!! You just lowered my blood pressure significantly. Better than a beta blocker . I'll keep everyone posted. I'm in WA and I should have my results by Monday...
  7. I asked this one before and I don't think anyone wrote me back specifically about this.... I've been doing the Mosby's online CAT and getting about 70-75% correct and it tells me I have a 94% chance of passing the NCLEX (I've done it 3 times). I test tomorrow. For those of you who used Mosby's...and passed...what was the prediction it gave you? I am getting really nervous....
  8. thank you for the advice and good luck to you too!!!
  9. I'm taking my nclex rn next Thursday. Here's what I've done to study: :angryfire for the past month I've reviewed Saunders content (every chapter) and done the quiz at the end of each chapter. I get around 60-75% correct on most chapters. I've done the Mosby's analysis and it said I had a 92% chance of passing I've reviewed a Kaplan book front to back and got 71% correct on the written test in the back, but only 62% correct on the CD-ROM Here's what I'm going to do between now and the test: Do my Saunder's CD-ROM 'till I'm blue in the face Do my Saunder's comprehensive test in the back of the book Review lab values and major content chapters (cardio, pulmonary, endocrine, etc.) Is this enough? I am an overachiever who has never gotten less than 80% on any test in her life and I am FREAKING OUT about this 62% stuff. Thos of you who have passed, how well did you perform on these practice tests? Help me help me help me! I was totally mellow about this whole thing until today!!!
  10. My med surg instructor used to get on my case about that. It's "medications" not "drugs." ANYway, for those of you who have taken the test...how many medication questions did you get. I am REALLY bad at memorizing them so I plan to study them but don't have much faith that I'll do well. I'm using Saunder's and I get less than 50% correct on the medication chapters Any advice from those who have taken this horrible exam, designed to stress poor nursing students to death?
