update on my endorsement situation...need advice!
I have been working in CA for 4 years now. I had to jump through a few hoops with the board, but it was OK and I got my license. In CA you have to report EVERYTHING, even minor traffic offenses! I think it took about 5 weeks and I had to get all sorts of documentation from my ticket from when I was 19 years old.

update on my endorsement situation...need advice!
when i talked to the lady at the BON, she told me that it would probably only add about an extra week on to the process since the offense was minor and happened almost 8 years ago. that is what she said. all i can do at this point is submit my info asap and hope for the best.

Feelings about graduation
haha...i agree with the above poster. that, and i'm just burnt out! i have my final on wednesday and i'm having a hard time focusing. i'm more concerned about nclex right now. i'm taking the test as soon as i get my ATT, so i've been studying for that. so, i don't feel like i can get too excited or relaxed after graduation because i know there is still more work to be done. does it ever end? haha.

update on my endorsement situation...need advice!
I was just told that they would not give me a temporary license as a walk through in Sacramento...they will still issue a temporary after they review my documents. I can't start the process until after I take boards.

update on my endorsement situation...need advice!
Hi, I posted a question awhile back and wanted to update in case this could help others. I also have another question... I am graduating from WI and will be taking boards here. I need to endorse to CA, but have a *minor* past conviction (underage drinking from 7 years ago). I was planning to go to Sacramento to get the temporary license, but I called them today and was told that they are not issuing temporary licenses to people with past convictions.... So now here is my plan and I need help. -planning to take boards ASAP at the end of december -will send out endorsement application/fees etc as soon as i can be verified through nursys.com -moving to CA in january (be there by 1/7) -will submit fingerprints via livescan once in CA My question is: I've heard it is faster to do livescan for fingerprints vs. doing it through mail. can i send the application in and everything else to START the process and then submit the fingerprints as soon as i get to CA? This is all so confusing! I have tried to do as much reading on allnurses and the BRN website, but still it makes my head spin! I need to get the temporary license ASAP as I'm supposed to start orientation on 1/24. Any advice or suggestions? Am I doing the right thing here? thanks to everyone! and good luck to anyone else going through this ordeal

tips for passing ATI comprehensive
Hi! I'm about to graduate here in 2 weeks but first I have to pass the ATI comprehensive test. We have 2 tries and then we don't pass the class. I'm hoping to pass on the first try, but was curious if anyone had any tips to passing the test? Thanks and good luck to all Dec graduates

CA license question
Hi, Sorry, I need to clarify (see this is confusing which is why i have to ask!). I have accepted a position in CA as a new grad. I'm taking NCLEX in my home state BEFORE I move to CA. I don't currently work as an intern or anything like that.

CA license question

CA license question
Hi, I know there is a sticky on this subject and I tried going to the BRN website and I'm still confused. Hoping to hear from someone who has gone through the process... I'm moving to CA from Wisconsin in January as a new RN. I am taking boards in WI in January, then moving to CA shortly after that. I was told by another student that it is easier to apply for a WI license, then go to Sacramento and transfer to a CA license. Is this true, or is it easier/more cost effective to apply directly to CA? I know I have to provide transcripts and fingerprints to CA, but do I have to have all of my prior conviction stuff to submit to CA again even if I had done that for my WI license? If I take my boards on 1/11 and go up to Sacramento the following week, will I be able to get my license that day? WI is a state where you get your NCLEX results in a few days. Sorry, this is all so confusing to me and I want to do this the right way without delays and trying to avoid extra costs if possible. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
