  1. Johnston CC in Smithfield does not use a waiting list, it is always merit based. Great NCLEX pass rate but you do have to be CNA 1 to be accepted.
  2. Cardiac/tele, 1:5 days and 1:6 nights guaranteed!
  3. I passed with 75 and about 20 of them were peds or womens health. Lucky for me as those are my areas.
  4. I didn't find that, do I have to scroll through all the pages?
  5. Why do you "have" to get half the NCLEX questions wrong? Some could pass with 24% wrong even.
  6. Call your bon, they may have a problem completing your background check or paperwork. 2 nclex passees (?) in my residency have been waiting a few weeks for theirs to be sorted out.
  7. Depends on your area, my school takes some LPN's in Spring of the first year but it depends on available seats. Only about 75% make it to RN. Unfortunately the LPN is being phased out in the major med centers so there are not as many jobs anymore.
  8. Yea, you are probably ready. I bet you'll be surprised when you see it and think that you even over-studied.
  9. Almost as hard as getting into RN school.
  10. Start checking the hospital employment openings as many of these internships will be filled long before you graduate and you may miss out.
  11. Psych was my favorite clinical even though it was not what I wanted to do. We did our rotation at a womens prison and had the best time. My favorite experience was a peds preceptorship which showed me what I wanted to do when I graduated.
  12. Did you think the docs ran the hospitals??? Anyway, there is a diff between medical diagnosis and nursing diagnosis. Hang in there, the clouds will lift.
  13. When we were in school we had a lot of recruiters come and buy us lunch. I ended up working a residency for one of those that was not initially on my job radar. Thankfully jobs are so plentiful here that pretty much all my class had jobs before graduation. If you did meet some recruiters it's a good time to do a little networking.
  14. I was another who felt great when I left, actually pumped up and talking a mile a minute. There were a few in my class who felt the same so don't let anyone take that feeling from you!
  15. I'm not hung up on it, I passed with 75 as did my class.
