HELP!!! Need some encouragement....failed nclex
God loves you and he has a plan that nothing (including NCLEX can stand the way). He didn't get you threw nursing school for nothing. I read the entire Kaplan book one week before my test and I answer 25-35 questions a day for a month before I took my test. Actually, I graduated May 13th, took a month off (b/c I was so burned out). Started doing questions on June 13th, tested on July 13th. I wouldn't recommed taking a NCLEX review class b/c my classmates that did said they don't think it helped. I didn't and still passed. Reading the Kaplan book and answering only a few questions a day (don't want to over do it) is the key. Good luck and I am praying for you (although I don't know you). Continue to put God first.

Just took 265 questions and I am FREAKING OUTTTT!
People pass with 265, I did on July 13th. It's possible. I know it hard because cried for 3 days before even knowing my results. I am in your shoes as well (graduated from AUM--BSN program, 3.0 student, etc..---I rudding for you. Try to stay calm (easier said than done) and pray. Good luck.

Anyone ever take NCLEX right after school & no extra studying? And Pass?
I took a month off because I burned out from NS. Graduated May13th, started doing 25-35 questions a day on June 13th and read the Kaplans book a week before the test and test on July 13th (exactly 2 months after graduation) and passed the test. Good luck, I wish you well. I would recommend buying the Kaplan's book and reading it a week or so before your test. If you haven't already, don't waste your money on a review class (I didn't and still passed). It was hard but learning how to answer the questions is the key--even if you don't know what the hell it's talking about--Kaplans book did wonders for me. Good luck again. Keep us posted.

I failed again :(
I recommend reading the Kaplan test taking skills book ($35.00). It helped me alot. I just recently graduated and I had to take the HESI 3 times before I passed. We were required to make a 850. 1st--844, 2nd--789 and 3rd-878. Before the last time I read the Kaplans book and the questions make more sense. I read it again 1 wk before my NCLEX (July 13th) and I passed it on the first try. Hang in there. God didn't let you come this far for nothing. I have faith in you, don't give up. Hand it over to God. Only do 25-35 questions a night (that's what I did). I didn't read anything but the Kaplans book and something on the cranial nerves. Doing too many questions can burn you out (it has happened to me in the pass). I wish you best of luck.

Help! Friend got 711 on HESI....
Well, I just graduated in May and my nursing school gave us 3 times to take the HESI and pass it and I didn't pass it until the last time. We were required to make a 850 on test. 1st time--844, 2nd time--789 (vomited and passed out during the test--panic attack), and 3rd time--879. I went to the doctor after the 2nd HESI and he said it sounded like I had a panic attack and he prescribed me some Xanax 0.25mg. I started taking them I was fine during the test. Guess what, I even passed my NCLEX-RN the first time (this pass Thursday). I don't think it's a good indicator. For the last HESI attempt, I studied with the assistant dean and another instructor who teaches test-taking skills and read the Kaplan 2005/2006 book and I was fine. My advice if your friend feels like she has a good knowledge base then she needs to read that Kaplan book on how to answer questions and practice answering as many questions on the computer as she can. Another thing I did was I read the entire HESI book and studied questions from the CD that came with the book (it will show you how to look at the HESI-type of questions). Trust me HESI vs. NCLEX questions--no comparsion. Although both are difficult. I wish your friend well and tell her to try the Kaplan book.

265 questions! I feel sick!
I had 265 Q's on Thursday and I haven't found out my results yet because Alabama BON does not participate in Quick Results with Pearson. Anyway, I feel exactly how you were feeling, if not worse. I really think I bombed it. Your email actually gives me hope. Pray for me. I should find out tomorrow or Tuesday. All I can do is hope and pray now.

Just tested for 3rd time today
Congraduations, I know you are glad it is over it. I wish you well and I knew you could do it. I took the NCLEX on Thursday and have 265 Q's (I don't think that is a good sign but I will hope and have faith). Wish me well and much success.

265'ers club, Pass or Fail at 265 please post
I took the NCLEX on Thursday and I have 265 Q's. I didn't run out of time but I have a bad feeling about the test. I don't know if it's because I have more than the lucky 75, the questions we difficult or what. But in reality, it can go both ways at 75 or 265 (pass or fail). I will pray for you and I ask that you do the same for me. This has been a long weekend because all I can do is think about is if I passed or not. The results are not posted yet but I'm sure they will be tomorrow. So, all I can do is hope and pray. Wish me well and keep me in your prayers. So, please believe you are not the only one who has experienced this, I know what you are going through.

Am I Just a dummy (4th time failing!!!)
Keep your head up. Always remember GOD is good no matter what and he loves you. I took the NCLEX Thursday and I have 265 Q's. I actually think I failed it. I had a bad day all yesterday. As I made it to the car, I cried and cried. I really prepared and it clearly was nothing that I could have done to prepare me for what I saw. Pray for me and I will do the same for you. I know what you are going threw. I took the HESI 3 times and passed it on the LAST try (other wise I would not have graduated this May). Keep you head up and remember although I don't know you, I will pray and have faith for you.

Am I Just a dummy (4th time failing!!!)
No, you are not a dummy. Although I don't know you, I don't believe that. I think anyone who finishes nursing school is not a dummy. I graduated from nursing school this May and we had to pass a HESI exam to graduate (we only had 3 chances to pass it). I passed it on the LAST chance and I studied hard for each one of them. I took the NCLEX Thursday and I had 265 Q's and I am not feeling good about it. I actually think I failed it. All I can do now is pray. I will pray for you as well. Good luck and keep your head up. I do have faith for the both of us. Without hope and faith, what else do we (nursing students/graduates--not yet nurses) have?

OH MY God Pray for me
Good luck to you. I know what you are feeling. I took the NCLEX on Thursday of this next and I have the horrible 265 Q's (the max). I have been so nervous since I left the testing center. I constantly think about it. I just want to say Good luck tomorrow and although I don't even know you, I wish you well and much success. I hope to God I passed that test. I prepared for it but as all of my classmates told me before I went to take it ("There's really no way for you study for it and they were right"). My advice is to take God into the testing center with you and take your time. Try not to pay attention to the #s of questions you have. I on the other hand couldn't help it (265). I wish you well. Pray for me and I will do the same for you. I know you will do fine.

Nclex...265??
Hi, I know what you must be going threw because I took the NCLEX today and I have the horrible 265 Q's. I was like it was never going to end. I honestly don't know what I could have done to prepare any better than I did nor do I think it would have made a difference on the number of Q's I had. I have been depressed since taking the test and I know it's going to be a BAD weekend (worrying about whether I passed or failed). So, Good luck to the both of us and although I don't know you personally I understand what you are going through and no one knows until they have walked in 265 Q's shoes. Once again Good luck and I wish you the best and although I don't know you (as I stated eariler), I will pray for the both of us.
