  1. You are fine Kaplan usually says a 65% is good enough. If you have done that much studying have FAITH that you will pass.
  2. Kayla girl take it on the 7th. Lucky number 7. I have faith in you.
  3. When I took the exam this last time I didn't get any delegation of uap or lpn either. I got alot of infection control and who to assess first. 265 does not mean that you boomed on the test. PLEASE TRY to relax. When do you expect to get your results?
  4. Your scores are fine. I did Question Trainer 5 = 63, QT 6= 58, QT 7= 56. I was so scared after getting 56 on the 7th test that I started to reschedule, but I didn't and I did fine. Passed with 75 questions. This was my 3rd time taking the test. In my opinion after doing Kaplan the NCLEX was like a Question Trainer 8 .
  5. Well I would love to say that I passed with 265 questions but I didn't, actually I failed twice with 265, but I know four other people in my class who passed (first try) with 265. 265 or whatever number is not any indication of pass or fail. I did finally pass the NCLEX on my 3rd try with 75 questions. But that was after alot of soul searching, mind cleansing, and Xanax (just kidding). Getting 75 questions didn't make me fill any more confident that when I got 265. I actually felt worst. I mean to think that in 75 question I convienced a computer that I am that DUMB or that NERVOUS(which is what happens the majority of the time to people) was really scary. To all that have experienced that beast of 265, I fell, felt, and will never forget your pain, but with FAITH 265 or even 260 will be your favorite number. You are all in my prayers.
  6. First I am very sorry about your test, I can honestly say I know how you feel. Second I usually tell people to use Kaplan but since you have already tried that review, then your problem my be content, and that where Suzanne can help. Also after a while think back to the test and see if there was any area where you knew you had no idea what they were talking about, and review that information. I have seen several replies that Suzanne's plan is great so maybe she will be able to help. Also contact your nursing school and see if they can give you study material or even some tutoring. It's worth a try. I know alot of my professor tutor new grad if they are unsuccessful on the NCLEX. Have FAITH that this will work out.
  7. personally it seems when you fail you are not asked the part about disclosing information, but that's just my observation, not a proven fact.
  8. OK I know I am probably going to get alot of replies about this but it is something that I have just recently noticed. For those of you who have taken the NCLEX at least twice please read and reply if you remember. Do you remember if your survey at the end of your test was different with the test that you passed as opposed to the ones when you failed. Now both surveys ask about Pearson and how they treated you but, the one that people seem to get when they pass also ask if they agree not to disclose info about the NCLEX and blah, blah you get the picture. So, I am doing a little survey of my own ,to see just how many people got a different survey when they passed in comparsion with when they failed. Those of you that passed on the first try can also reply if you can remember your survey. Usually when you pass the 1st time you don't care or try to remember anything about the test. But those of us that had to test 2 or more times tend to remember everything. Like I said before, this is just for fun and this is not intended to give anyone false hope or anything like that. I still believe that FAITH and hard work will get you through everything. So to everyone who has tested or will test in the future remember: WITH FAITH YOU DON'T NEED LUCK !!!!!
  9. Well 3rd time is not a charm, it = RN. I am not sure about that last question right stuff, but I do know if you did your best you should be alright. I am offering this advice because I too had to take the test three times so I know how you fell. This may be a crazy question and I can bet there will be response that deny it, but.....was your survey at the end to the test different this time? Call me crazy but the first two times I took the test my survey was about the Pearson people and that's it. The last time I was asked to agree to some stuff about NCLEX and giving out answer. I was also asked about the Pearson people but I had to agree to that other stuff first. Did you notice a difference? I am not trying to give you false hope of anything like that because I personally don't believe in luck or hope I believe in FAITH. If you have faith you will be just fine.
  10. I don't think Kaplan is good because of the number of priority. I think it is the quality of the questions. Kaplan's questions are indeed very simular to the NCLEX because they are not just straight knowledge based questions, they force you to think. I recently took NCLEX and passed with 75 after using Kaplan. Wait don't think I am smart or anything, this was my 3rd time taking the test. I had used every study aid out there and Kaplan was the only one that worked for ME. One of the moderators on this site also developed a study plan using Saunders that everyone says is really go also. I tried Saunders and stopped, not because I was getting such great scores on the test but because when I really thought about it, I knew my content, what I didn't know was how to take the test, and that is where Kaplan helped. Don't think I used Kaplan for a long time either. I got Kaplan online review somewhere around June 9. I took my test on June 28. So in just three short weeks I had learn the ins and outs of that test. If you are getting 50-65 on your Qbank questions you should be fine. That doesn't mean stop doing questions. If you know you are weak in Physiological Care that focus on that section, or whatever section you feel weak in. My highest score on a Kaplan test was 63 and that was on test #5. Just believe in yourself, read the questions and you will be fine. Remember your decision tree from Kaplan and the NCLEX will simply be your Question Trainer #8. SDSU1205 BSN, RN
  11. first get 60 and 61 on the kaplan test is great. i didn't get that much. i think on t6 i go 63 and t7 57. i just recently took my test for the 3rd time and only got 75 questions. don't be scared. you will do fine. remember when you go in there to take you test only think about passing. don't think about all the people that are depending on you to pass or anything like that. i think alot of people get develop test anxiety before the test and once they get in there to take the test that anxiety is at its highest. my first two times i sure it was nervous along with some bad test taking skills. if you understand what they are asking you will do fine.
  12. Well Sun, I failed at first and second time taken the test. Both times I got 265 questions and the third time got 75. I used the Kaplan online study plan this time. Not just the book. The online offers seven different test that are alot simular to the NCLEX. In my opinion Kaplan is so good when I went to take my test this last time it was like taking one of the Kaplan practice test. I REALLY feel your pain x 2. Just take a few day get yourself together and figure out what you need to do. Is is content or test taking. If it's content or test taking in my opinion Kaplan will help.
  13. I am not really familar with Sylvia, but I taken Hurst and Kaplan and if I had to pick I would pick Kaplan. I just recently took my test for the 3rd time and this time I used Kaplan. The course is a little expensive but worth it. If you have some friends that need a review maybe you all could divide up the price. The Review is really similar to the NCLEX
  14. i passed!!!!! :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: i called the lady at the bon of nursing to ask her if anything had been mailed for me. she asked me my ssn and then said well i should just look for some good news in your mailbox real soon. now you know they can't tell you if you pass or fail over the phone but i got the message. after failing the test two times i had kind of developed a relationship with her. she knew my voice when i called. anyway to everyone waiting to take their test if you don't already have it or access to it, get kaplan. i know this is what helped me. and it will help you too. god bless to everyone and remember with faith you don't need luck
