Well, having just completed my 1st semester of the nursing program, I have found that as a single guy, you are really in (at times) a very weird catch-22 being in a female-dominated student body. Although I definitely do not... Read More

I have similar experience in my class. I am 1 of 4 male student in my class and the attention is so overwhelming that I am now dropping in my grades. It is difficult for men.

Ahhh...it sucks being in nursing school and wanting a relationship at the same time. Theres a girl in my program that i've fallen for, but as a previous poster said, I don't have to courage to ask her out due to awkwardness of rejection or the potential breakup. I almost feel like I'm missing out on life. Oh well, I guess i'll play it cool and if she approaches me on the subject then maybe i'll consider doing the unthinkable...a relationship in nursing school
I'm in the same boat- my class of 36 is comprised of 30 girls and 6 guys- 4 of which are either above 30, engaged or married. In fact, the majority of our class are older folks coming back for a second degree, and are married or engaged. There are only 2 girls that are single and my age. Both are really nice- I really connected with one girl since we are both part of the same Church and have a lot in common. I don't want to ask her out (though most of the girls have made it known that they know I like her) because: A) I don't want her to feel pressured to say yes since she can't really avoid me if she isn't interested, and B) as mentioned, I don't want to ruin anything before our graduation in May 2013 (AAS) and December 2013 (BSN).

    Sigh.....

I am one of the girls in the class. it is kinda weird because the guys get so much attention from the teachers and the students.
needless to say I began a completely physical relationships with one of the 2 guys in our class. We have no intentions on dating just getting our school stress out! maybe you could try that . I have to admit its pretty fun, just you both have to agree mums the word and itt won't be more than that.:redpinkhe

All the guys in my class are occupied. Everyone gets along. There's great camaraderie amongst all 70 of us, male and female.

When NS is done, I'll sure miss all the eye candy!!!

most of the women in our class are midage, and the guys in the class are in their 20s. i think its better to start dating once you got your career going.

Dunno how much longer I can deal with this!! (see post above). I find myself staring at her constantly and always talking to her during lecture breaks. We've all seen what can happen with dating a classmate from the previous stories in this thread, but I really don't know what to do! We both work and go to school so its not like we'd even have time to see each other outside of class (this is all assuming she's interested which she kind of seems to be).

Should I just go for it and see what happens?

Anyway to make a long story short he went from a high B to a low C and barely managed to graduate once he woke up and pulled his head out of his butt.
There were a couple girls in my class I would have given up a one 1.5 drop in GPA for. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it never came to that.
