If you could no longer work as a nurse, for whatever reason, what other job or career would you choose? This is assuming that you have only ever worked as a nurse and your degree is strickly nurse related.

I was pre vet until financial issues reared their ugly head so that would be my first choice.
Second choice-police officer. I would make a heckuva great detective.
Third choice interior designer. I am always making over any spaces I spend time in, love walking through an empty house or space and imagining how I could transform it.

I would go back to school and become a meteorologist for a major news station! Either that or a dog walker or painter both are so therapeutic to me!

I would be a writer, or go back to school and major in English. Or both. :)
Me too.

work in some sort of computer based job-programming, that sort of thing. If this is your fantasy job of choice, I would work at Disneyworld

I'd have to win the lottery first, so I would worry about the finical gamble in this economy, but I'd love to start a scrapbooking store with workroom in my hometown. We don't have a dedicated one anymore. Just hobby lobby and michaels.

Chicken and zucchini farmer since managing peeps and rounding up zucchini is almost as challenging as getting cranky old ladies to take pills.

I actually lived somewhere for three years where I couldn't work as a nurse, so I worked editing medical journal articles and books for writers who were non-native English speakers.
I think I like the bookshop idea better, though.

I always figured that if I flunked nursing school, I would become a tattoo artist, as I have prior art training....Rebecca

Same here Tattoo artist and body piercer lol. By the way my tattoo artist makes more than I do as a nurse and he gets to sit down for his work lol!! Imagine jabbing people all day that actually enjoy it

Actually I'd like to teach...have my summers and weekends off to play in my garden, be a gypsy, and create!
That's the plan!
