Nurses General Nursing

If you could no longer work as a nurse, for whatever reason, what other job or career would you choose? This is assuming that you have only ever worked as a nurse and your degree is strickly nurse related.

I would want to be a forensic linguistics analyst for the FBI...you know, they analyze handwriting samples, ransom notes, suicide notes, etc. I have a degree in English, and I'm fascinated by linguistics. I'd also want to be a criminal profiler and work with serial killers and such (which I'm currently working toward).

probably continue on with my current business :)
Current business? Sounds criptic! :wink2: Do you like your current business?
I would probably be a writer, and I'd write about my experiences as a nurse, as well as other things. Another career path I would find interesting is a forensic scientist.
Well it's good that you belong here, a site for nurses where you get to write :typing about your experiences! Now, you just have to put them into a collection, get them to a publisher and you're on your way!
But now the forensic scientist!!! I would have loved to be trained in that (yes, I'll say it here) when I was 'swallowing hard' younger! LOL No, but seriously that definitely sounds interesting!
Thanks for the post!

I would sit on the porch of my country house, listen to the wind blow through the trees, birds singing and build birdhouses
Thanks everyone for your dreams!
But I do have a serious possibility as an adjuct to being a nurse or in place of as this economy continues to be so tenuous. For all of the writers, potential writers and 'dreaming of' being a writer, check out this site for work at home writing possibilities. I am not a writer but thought I would pass this on...

As far back as I can remember, I wanted to be a missionary. I love to help the less fortunate. However, I'm not in shape physically or financially to do either, but applaud all those who do missionary work. Look what Mother Theresa did. I also love the organization, "Doctors Without Borders." I do belong to an online ministry that supports and provides needs for a lot of people in third world countries, so I'm happy doing that.
