I've never posted here before but I am going to be applying to Yale School of Nursing this fall for a 2015 start in the GEPN program, CNM/WHNP cohort. Wondering if there are others out there preparing to do the same? I'm heading down to their info session next week.

Good news, I received an invitation for January 29th! Unfortunately I can't say if I want to visit the campus right now because the ticket prices are EXPENSIVE and the times are not great either :/ Maybe a phone interview for me instead?

I actually have not done that much research about the school yet, haha. Time to start on that... Congrats to the others who were invited!

This might be too early to ask, but for those going to visit, anyone have an idea of where they might stay? I'm going to call the hotel they suggested but I'd also like to be as cost-effective as possible (Read: cheap).

Congratulations to everyone who got an interview! I'll be there for mine on January 30! It still hasn't completely hit me yet, I don't think.

Elefant3, if you have any friends/friend who live in New York City that you can stay with, it's really easy and cheap to get to Orange using the MetroNorth train (it's probably $30 round trip).

I just called and reserved a room for $115... a bit expensive but it's also for convenience. On the phone I was given the option for two twin beds. I'll be staying with my boyfriend, but perhaps someone else would want to split it.

Elle, that is definitely an option! I am a bit afraid though of train delays or some other unfortunate event taking place that might make me late. I will be taking the train back to NY after the interview though.
