  1. Yes, the school of nursing is separate from the main campus. There are 20-minute shuttles between the main campus and the west campus, as it is called. The other health schools are still by the main campus. If you visited, I'm not sure if this is a surprise...?
  2. No, she would not tell me how to submit the written request because my letter was mailed out this week. She told me that I would have to wait for my letter to NOT show up before I could request to be emailed. :-/ I'm tempted to call back and ask to speak to another person.
  3. I just got off the phone with the Admissions office. I was told that decisions are still being sent out by MAIL over the next 2-3 weeks. I told her that I have a deadline for another school so I would need to know before that. She told me I would have to submit a written request to have my decision emailed to me, and that they were only emailing decisions to people who were out of the country?... I'm a bit dumbfounded about this entire process & I'm assuming that this means I was rejected.
  4. If/when other people receive their financial aid, I'd love to compare (via PM) if it's not too personal to share. for the specialty rankings, you kind of have to click around. I would click on the actual link for the school and scroll down to the specialties where it is ranked. The rankings only go up to #10.
  5. From what I've read, the rankings don't hold much significance since they are based off of surveys that are sent to the administrative offices of each school. This article explains it far better than I could: Your Annual Reminder to Ignore the U.S. News & World Report College Rankings — The Atlantic With that said though, the drop in ranking was quite surprising to me. Although I know that they aren't the most valid rankings, it did cause me to pause and think about it (still thinking about it, actually). Also, I just received my financial aid via email.
  6. also, I still haven't received anything. I'm confused as to what I should be looking for: an email or an actual letter in the mail?
  7. If you would like to work in CA, then you're better off going to UCLA. You can make better professional connections while in school, which could lead to better possibilities of finding work (in theory). Also, you would be paying in-state tuition. I'm pretty sure you'd be saving $20k+ by going to UCLA instead of Hopkins. Finally, UCLA also has a good reputation, especially on the west coast and again, if you plan to work on the west coast, then I think UCLA is your best choice. The job market in CA is saturated though so that's a potential con to think about. Just my 2 cents, hope that helps.
  8. I'm also in, but will probably be rejecting the offer. Congrats to everyone. Check the Applicant Self-Service site.
  9. Unofficially, Orientation is August 24-29 and the first day of school is September 2nd. :)
  10. E-letter stated "the coming week or so," so hopefully end of this week-early next week? I am assuming by the phrase "separate cover" that it will be mailed physically to us? I am open to either option, although Excel seems like it would be the most comprehensive and easier to look through? I also don't mind waiting Also, anyone know when Orientation will be? I'm probably getting ahead of myself since this will probably be answered in an upcoming email
  11. I'm a bit perturbed that I haven't received any notification about a decision yet I submitted my application back in September.
  12. Should we make a FB group?
  13. I'm in for FNP. Thankful for an early release. Congrats everyone!
  14. Also not accepted. Good luck to everyone!
  15. For the interviews, I received the email at 4:52 PM. Once it gets to that time, I will resume the waiting game tomorrow.
