Yale 2015

Published

I've never posted here before but I am going to be applying to Yale School of Nursing this fall for a 2015 start in the GEPN program, CNM/WHNP cohort. Wondering if there are others out there preparing to do the same? I'm heading down to their info session next week.

70-80 is only how many matriculate. There's actually a better chance of getting accepted than that! We were told at the info session that 120-125 are accepted, but from there only about 80 matriculate.

I stalked the threads before/after the info session and tried to match things up lol. The threads have definitely been super helpful.

I'm hoping we get good news before the weekend also. I have some studying to do for finals, so I'm hoping to get good news to ease my incrdibly stressed mind. Haha

Thanks for that Divalicious! That was some good ol' math for ya! But I appreciate that! That definitely makes me feel just a bit better knowing that only about 80 matriculate out of the 120-125 accepted.

I hope we all get a chance to meet one another!! =)

1 more day! I'm so excited to possibly meet everyone! 41% chance of getting an interview. Good luck tomorrow!

So what degrees does everyone already have? I have an associates in paralegal studies, my bachelor's is in English, and I have a master's of business administration. Nursing is a COMPLETE 180 for me!!

General Health Sciences. B.S.

I have my BA in psych. Psych nursing isn't too much of a leap from my background.

Snoozyd, I was a psych minor and my sister was a psychologist, so it's something I've studied...not as extensively as you, obviously. But it's always been a field I wanted to get into, just never knew how exactly was best for me.

Easyas123247, which specialty did you apply for?

Good luck to you two!

I got my B.A. in integrative biology and applying for FNP. Lol I know weird that's it's a B.A. but that's how it was at my university because it was in the college of letters and science.

Family Nurse Practitioner.

I have an Associates in Business Administration and a Bachelors in Management Information Systems. I was previously going for my Associates in Nursing for a while but decided it was better for me to just finish up my bachelors.

Nursing has never left my heart and I feel as though this could possibly be a second opportunity for me to have a career I am happy to go to every single day of my life and feel accomplished at the end. =)

Good luck to all of you guys!! Hopefully we all hear good news tomorrow.

Thanks, Divalicious, for the well wishes and statistical breakdown. Stats have given me a bit of hope over the weekend.

The email contained good news for me, I'll be there January 23! :woot: Good luck, you guys! Now I can breathe easy for the rest of the day
