I've never posted here before but I am going to be applying to Yale School of Nursing this fall for a 2015 start in the GEPN program, CNM/WHNP cohort. Wondering if there are others out there preparing to do the same? I'm heading down to their info session next week.
1 week!!! Who's as anxious as I am!?
I know right... I'm going to need to stock up on emergency chocolate supplies to get me through the week :-) I wonder what time next week we will hear anything - so I don't end up sitting in front of the computer clicking anxiously every 5 seconds. I'm guessing we will get an update from the program in a few days, to give us a heads up about that.

I know!! Ugh... I'm assuming we'll get word from them beforehand also. Any email from them is gonna make me even more anxious lol
******* emails are the real reason I'm still really liking Yale. This one is adorable, helpful AND reassuring. I didn't know admissions people were allowed to be any of those things?
I agree 100%. I keep telling my husband that Yale is my #1 choice because she is so incredibly genuine! Admissions people at other schools seem so cold or give very short answers, as if they don't want to be bothered. MP is the COMPLETE opposite of that. She's organized, personable and, above all, so insanely nice. YSN has a good thing with her there.
I agree with the MP references. And, knowing MP's education was in religious studies, as posted at the Yale website, I smiled when I read her message today and her humor. I think she has a lot of great qualities as a person and I would love to meet her. If I did attend Yale I would probably buy her a cup of coffee (when it did not feel like a bribe so much to me ha-ha) as a thank you for making this whole admissions process seem easier from the monthly updates. Peaceful week to us all

I asked about the faculty since I'd read on older Yale threads that turnover led to them not being able to take classes in a timely manner and dragging out their coursework. Some people even decided against Yale altogether for that reason. Hopefully that's been resolved.
As for rent, I'm surprised to hear that. I was hoping New Haven would at least be cheaper than Boston. However, I have checked out the East Rock park area when my boyfriend's brother was getting his MBA. It seemed nice, glad to know it's a good spot. Is it really hard to find a place?
