I've never posted here before but I am going to be applying to Yale School of Nursing this fall for a 2015 start in the GEPN program, CNM/WHNP cohort. Wondering if there are others out there preparing to do the same? I'm heading down to their info session next week.
I talked today to graduate who LOVED the program, had great clinical experiences, and said having the name "Yale" on her resume has made a big difference in her career. It's making me lean more toward attending Yale over the other schools I've been admitted to. This person graduated about 4 years ago.
Any RN's get a merit scholarship with their letter? I'm trying to gauge if I for sure did not receive a scholarship or if there's any chance I did and they haven't been released yet.
I asked about this last week and heard that only 2 were given and those 2 people were already alerted.
Also, on your previous post- that's great to hear! I went and spent some time at the nursing bldg last week and it totally helped me make my final decision that I want to go to yale over Columbia. Everyone I met was so kind and friendly. I'm in new haven on a travel assignment and have heard nothing but good things about the program.
Is anyone else going to be here in new haven earlier than august (I think I'll end up extending my contract and staying to get settled before school starts and would love to connect with any fellow students!
Hi All, I'm not sure if this is an okay place to post this however I'm in the process of renting a room in my furnished downtown loft. I would love to live with another YSN student. If anyone is interested please let me know!

I don't really put a ton of stock into that report. I think it's odd that so many of Yale's specialties are in top ten--midwifery is 3, Peds is 3, psych is 6--and the nursing school itself went from 4 or 5 to 22. Someone else on here was posting about how US news changed their metric but I don't really know what it is.
