   The only thing that you can really do is try! Work hard on your essay and do your best to tell your story- show the admissions panel that you are unique individual with a lot to give not only to the school but to the field in general.

   Have you looked at speciality rankings? Yale midwifery is ranked #3, while psych is #6. I'm not sure of how legit it is, but I do think it's something for us to consider.
