In my first semester, we had a lot of random papers to write. Some that I can remember were like, we had to go to a support group and then write a paper over how what we learned would relate to care we would provide for patients. Then we had to write a paper over our interactions with our patients in the nursing home and whether we used therapeutic communication or not. We also had to write pathophysiology papers with our case studies on our patients' primary diagnoses.
We did quite a bit of writing. Research papers, care plans, research analysis papers, PICO papers (you'll get to that), our community clinical groups had to assesses a community and write a 60+ page paper on it (split between 6 people). There are also multiple group projects throughout the require writing.

I Just started my first semester of Nursing school, and during orientation the professor passed out a paper entitled criteria for writing a good paper. So my question is how much writing and what type of writing should I be prepared to do? Thanks in advance.
