So it's only old white men?

Scratch that. Conservative old white men and white women of all ages. Notice how you don't see people of color trying to take women's reproductive rights away.

I was going to upvote this until dumb *** Clarence Thomas. Luckily, we still have RBG who scorched CT and his pathetic decision. Happy reading but please don't break your phone, computer, or whatever reading this nonsense....

I used to be pro-Abortion.

But these days, I'm starting to recognize that the "right to life (existence)" exists with the embryo..as the question when does human life begin comes into mind.

Having said that..it's not black or white so I just let our Supreme Court decide on it. As Pontius Pilate has done..let me wash my hands using water and stay out of this subject.

It's still better than nothing! Jeez, at least attempt to prevent pregnancy. And the foam helps pick up the slack with the condoms.

I hate a dialog that portrays women as victims. We are our biggest advocates, or our own worst enemies. If I were a nymphomaniac, with nothing but a Honda Kick & Go for transportation, I'd be damned if I'd get knocked up.

Have you actually investigated the numbers of abortions attributed to Rape, Incest and Maternal Health, vs the amount attributed to just 'whatever?' The differences are staggering. It's pathetic that any women would take so little responsibility for their own reproductive potential. These are not the women my daughters are like, or the women I want my granddaughters to become.

You want to empower women? Teach them that they have the power to not need permission from anyone for any abortion by seeing to it that they don't get pregnant. I did it, my daughter did it and God willing, my granddaughters will too.  I cannot prevent tragedies, such as rape. But, I can send them to self defense classes.

Gross. All of this makes me want to vomit. You're absolving men of any responsibility. You're basically saying it's 100%a women's fault for getting pregnant and they should only have sex to procreate.

You also apparently didn't read the entirety of my first post- most women obtaining abortions WERE ON birth control. Yikes.

Men are equally as responsible. (of course need to see case by cases such as assault & violence which the criminal would be totally responsible or the case such as the oral to self-insemination route)

Gonna say three words.

Religious Right Votes.

Politicians are the biggest hypocrites when it comes to this subject. It still amazes me that the dog whistle issues still work....God, Gays and Guns.

It's a personal choice and should be left that way--just as what I do in my bedroom is my business (as long as it's with  consenting adults), and who I do it with is my business (as long as they are consenting adults).

Long has the religious right attempted to legislate these issues. I can bring any "caveat" into any subject---and make it controversial.

There are so many larger issues on the table---such as population overshoot, resource depletion, pollution, food scarcity and insecurity---and people somehow still want to continue to prevent a woman from controlling what she does with her body.

What happened to all of that "Don't Tread on Me" independence and "get the government out of my business" (taxes, etc) crowd?  The ones that vote for politicians that blow the dog whistle about getting government out of your daily lives----and they tailor their platforms to garner the most votes---so they have to cater to the portion of the population who wants....government to control everyday lives.

If you, as a nurse, don't want to participate in abortions...then don't. If you, as a woman, don't want to have an abortion even if you are the victim of a violent gang rape....then don't.

However. If you, as the person who is going to deny me my personal rights to control my body---whether I am "irresponsible" or not (are you going to put drug addicts on death row too? how about diabetics that eat ho-hos for breakfast? what about them? How about we deny healthcare to anyone who is "irresponsible" with their health?)---you should also be ready to pony up the funds and all of the other nice little items that a child needs to be a well adjusted adult.

If you don't want to help take responsibility for the choices---then keep your nose out of them.

I wish all women understood the socioeconomic implications of these abortion laws and work synergistically to stop this nonsense. In my few years of nursing practice I’ve seen and heard all sort of frightening things involving planned/unplanned or unwanted pregnancies. As a woman I can’t imagine a total stranger (who doesn’t know anything about me or my life circumstances) decide that I shall bring a human into this world and become a loving dedicated parent to an unwanted child when I am myself struggling

This is terrible!

Lawmakers simply aren’t qualified for this kind of judgment. They should let women have at least the freedom to do what they want with their body, let families decide on their fate, let victims heal so they can move on, and let providers counsel their patients to the best of their knowledge.

This is just terrible!

To me, this is not a human being. It is the beginning of the development of one, but it is not one at all and it's rights should not come before any other human's. But that's part of the principal differences of viewpoints/thinking of pro-choice vs pro-life, and why there is no middle ground.

I definitely do understand your miscarriage argument though.

Lets get real here.

image.thumb.png.d603bbf037189252b072f781136a481e.pngWhat you see is a baby in the making - just like after birth, even then babies appearance change over time as babies are growing and developing. If you took a picture at a new born baby and then another picture in 5 years, the child will look very, very different. but not any less the same person.

Do not negate the value of life just because its convenient.

Pay for your abortions, that’s that. No more tax money to pay for this ***. Also, your contribution to health insurance would never be enough for an abortion. My tax money shouldn’t have to go towards something you think is ok.

the feds do not pay for elective abortion.  Hyde amendment.

Nice B.S. statement for those who can’t do their own research. And yes, for most abortions, it’s tax payer’s money paying for it. Just look up how much money the government has already given to PPH.

the feds DO NOT pay for elective abortions.  the feds GIVE PP very little money, a yearly grant for BC teaching.  the rest is EARNED by PP by being a MCD provider of nonabortion services.
