Why do you come to All Nurses?

Why do you come to All Nurses? is it for the information? the camraderie? to waste time? the jokes? relaxation? What reasons?

I come for the info and to get a feel for what the different fields are like. I also love the friendships that I have made here. This is my relaxation time (the only time I get) and I can learn something to boot!

i enjoy allnurses because:

i've learned much in terms of nsg., exercises in restraint, humility, passion and reflection. anything that you can learn from and takes you to a higher level is truly something to celebrate.

i've met people on here that i have felt privileged to talk with and become close with.

but i do love my tv and being a vegetable. my brain gets to rest. and jnette, i too just watched animal kingdom last noc, about the grizzly bears. i watch animal planet all the time when i can.

i come here to find out everything i can about nurses and nursing,3_2_2.gif so i can be informed before i start school. i like the commradery, and also the point blank matter of fact information that i can get. i like the honesty and like the prev poster said that someone will answer your questions or actually give advice without pretending they are listening. i like talking to others in the same boat as i,1000.gif and knowing that i am not alone in the way i feel on most things. it is a great site and i am definitely hooked...lol:chuckle

At first I came here to find out information about NCLEX and read about people who were going through the same stress as I was. Now I will continue to visit because everyone is so supportive of everyone else and it's nice to talk to people who understand what is truly is to be a nurse. I love it!:)

................HEY! I resemble that remark!

I come here because it is entertaining, the stories, the jokes, and even some peoples opinions. It also helps me keep a pulse on what is going on with nursing and what concerns there are in different areas. Some day I will be living somewhere warm with no humidity. Hopefully allnurses will still be there for the answers to my questions! Thanks everybody! :p

All of those reasons Kim!

I've been at work and have posted medical questions and have gotten good answers before I left work for the day.

This group inspired me to leave a toxic unit a couple of years ago and transfer to a more positive atmosphere.

Besides my inner drive, and my spouse's inspiration at recently completing his Masters, this group is part of inspiration for me going back to school.

What can I say. Over 7000s posts, that says it all right there. LOL

my google made me do it....way back when I was doing some online searching related to nursing and accidentally wound up here....addicted and unable to leave. go figure! at nearly 10,000 posts, you can see how allnurses is my drug/substance of choice---> :rotfl:

I come here to learn about the field that I will eventually work in. :) I've learned lots of things just by coming by every day and reading the new posts. Before I started coming here I had no idea what Telemetry was and I had never heard of sepsis. Hmmmm, I still don't know exactly what sepsis is. Other than it's some kind of infection. I see it in posts that list cause of sepsis as bowel perfs. Oh my. Anyways...that's another thread. :p

I've learned lots of other things too, there's just too many things to list. There's such a wealth of knowledge here.
