Who's taking A&P II this summer? (2010)

Thanks for the tip. Im in a bit of panic mode right now. I have lost the powerpoint for the last chapter (Immune) and we have our exam on Tue. I am so screwed. I have searched high and low for it, even went thru the garbage. I havent cried yet, but I just dont understand what the heck happend, I swear it was on the table last night!!

I emailed some classmates and hopefully they can help out.

Hey guys, its been a while since I checked in. This class is seriously kicking my butt!!! Whoah. I'm doing fine in lecture, but I need to push harder in lab. Wasn't pleased with my midterm exam results and need to pull that up. But I'll be ready for the lab final now that I see how this prof does his exams. Midterm and Final count for 50% so I've got to nail the final if I want another A.

I take my TEAS on Monday. I'm so nervous. Whew. Hang in there everyone!

Hi Mangopeach, good luck with your exams. Im sure you will do fine. I know this class is no walk in the park. Very stressful. I cant wait until my next exam is over and I can lighten up for a few days.

Ignore me, Im just venting. My parents decided to come visit for the past week. I

reached my limit yesterday. Ive had 2 Tests and 1 quiz to study for since they came

and it has been too much of a distraction. Its Fathers day and as if that isnt bad

enough with just my husband, Ive had to do the big Fathers Day deal at

my house. Its 1:30 and now I am finally getting to sit down for the first time to study

for a few hours before I have to make dinner and visit before they leave tommorow.

I really didnt have any control over the dates they scheduled to visit and they didnt

ask me anyway. I have just had it, and now tommorow is my husbands birthday. IM

really in a terrible mood now and am probably going to bomb my Test on tuesday

because I have been forced to put school last all week!

I understand Anne. My dad is coming this week too for business. He was here 2 weeks ago and it was really a distraction for me. I'm glad that its at least after I take my TEAS tomorrow. But I still need my time for studying. Too much time taken away from that when he's around. He doesn't understand how much time I have to put into this. He's one of those that keeps asking, so when are you gonna be done with school blah blah blah. Its gonna take forever, if you keep on distracting me! :mad:

Its hard for other people to understand all the hours you have to put into these classes. I just keep getting those Professors that are really tough on exams! I finally found my powerpoint this morning. Yeah! That is a releif, at least now I can study solid the next 2 days.

We just took our second test. So far I'm averaging a solid B for both, but I really want to do better.

Question - do classes normally have a minimum number of students required? Will the class get canceled if the minimum is not met? We have 12 students left in our class (started with 24), and many did not pass the first or second test. They were talking and wanted to go up to the teacher and threaten her with withdrawing (which could cancel the class), unless she was more lenient in grading or gave us a more specific review sheet, among other things. I don't want any part of that, but I don't want this class to be canceled since I'm working hard for my grade!

Serene Peach, that sounds like my microbiology class! We had 10 people left and no they did not cancel it. The vast majority of our class did the same thing. They threatened to drop and most of them did. The rest of them went to the Dean and made complaints but it didnt work and they couldnt care less if people drop because it was past the time to get a refund.

I just got back my first Lab exam I got a 91. Im cool with that, just hope I can do it for the next Lab. I had my second exam today. Everyone in my class is frying their brain studying for these exams and then they end up covering about 10% of what we study!

Tomorrow is my Final for A & P II. I will be soooo glad to be done. This class was fast and furious!

I am wondering a couple of things....

Are any of you having cumulative finals? I didn't even have a cumulative in A & P I!

Plus, what are your grading scales? I just learned that my professor implemented a new grading scale and it's the same as the nursing one (so I heard) where a 93.7 is an A, etc... I have never had this grading scale in any of my classes so far.

I'm going to go back to studying....so much to remember!!!!! :specs:

Our A&P2 class is cumulative over the two quarters (A&P1, AND A&P2). A&P3 (third quarter) is cumulative over ALL THREE.

Our final exams for A&P 1 and 2 are 90% new material , 10% cumulative.

Nope. No cumulative finals in A&P for me! Thank God!
